Donald Trump’s serial depredations and violations of the law and Constitution inspired a retired educator to write a new Declaration of Indepence, tailored to a new age.
Whereas the people of these United States of America have given their lives in defense of our country, let not the federal usurper attempt to crown himself king and return to the time of George III.
Our populace will rise up and demand a return to the rule of law and civil discourse on issues confronting us. Have no kingly proclamations discourage us from following the traditions and norms of our 249 years. We do not live in the time of the divine right of kings. Our government derives from the will of the people and our rights cannot be dissolved by a false monarch. The strength of our democracy always lies with the hopes of our populace.
In all of our country’s existence we have never faced such an evil. We are not accustomed to a fraud who would besmirch our constitution and attempt to rule with his own pronouncements. He has divided us into many differing camps and beliefs with his lies that he will continue to separate us.
His claims that we are being invaded by groups of nefarious cutthroats that are bent on taking over our country are untrue. He will then be able to declare martial law and use all of the levers of government to suppress all protest activities. Now is the time for all good men and women to come to the aid of their country.
He has not complied with the laws and disregards our judiciary.
He has enriched himself by accepting emoluments from foreign countries, princes and oligarchs.
He has deliberately favored states that voted for him and disavowed those who did not.
He has supported taxes that would enrich the wealthy and deprive the poor.
He has endeavored to make judges bend to his will.
He has plundered our economy and dissolved our relationship with our allies.
He has abducted our people in public places- schools, places of worship, and public buildings.
He has threatened our institutions of higher learning if they did not bend to his will.
He has erected a multitude of new offices in the federal government to dispose of thousands of dedicated public servants.
He has restricted the entry into our country of the brightest young people in the world.
He has aligned himself with our enemies and supports their tyranny.
He has installed a health secretary who is destroying our health system and our capability to do health research.
He has encouraged and pardoned 1500 people who tried to overthrow our government.
His sycophants mock our populace and threaten to jail them if they are not compliant with his wishes.
He is, at this time, transporting armies of masked hoodlums to complete the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of cruelty, perfidy, scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy as the head of a civilized nation.
At every stage of these oppressions, we have petitioned for redress of these grievances. We have asked in a most civilized manner. Our petitions have been answered in only the most desultory and vengeful actions. A president whose character is marked by every act which may define a tyrant is not fit to be the leader of our country.
We have been warning our legislative representatives of the danger of these usurpations. They are fearful of his retributions both political and personal. We have entered the justice system in the highest court of the land to create estoppel. Their decisions do not seem to impede the leader’s desire to remake our democracy into an autocracy. The monied interests have formed a choral group for the president. Their support and their largesse have given him impetus to continue his cruelty. No inhabitants of our land are safe from his reach. Children of any age have felt his sting and have been spirited away.
We, therefore, the people of the United States of America, in Assembly, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world, and the populace, solemnly publish and declare, that these United States of America are and have a right that our allegiance to the current regime will be absolved if the governing bodies of our federal legislature refuse to restrain the president from his policy of revenge and destruction of our country. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.
Attest.
Signed by Order and in behalf of the American People
Charles Bryson
Jeremiah Foyle

there should be a brand new DEFIANCE to the authoritarian written and signed, and FRAMED too, in place of the Declaration of Independence from 1776, with the NEW rules on how the people can COMBAT tyranny, that promotes the RIOTING of the MASSES when the elected officials became abusive, that would be more fitting to the modern day needs of U.S. right now, as the 1776 version would be, way too, OUTDATED in its application to modern day.

I never thought I would live to see an orange urinal cake manning the Oval Office.
I’m using the term “manning” very loosely, of course.

Yes. They in fact promote hygiene and thus health, unlike Glorious Leader Who Shines More Orange Than Does the Sun, who appointed anti-vaxxer brain worm guy Secretary of Health and Human Services and basically declared war on science in the United States. So, while Trump holds a strong physical resemblance to an orange urinal cake, the latter is definitely more positive in its consequences.

HAVE YOU EVER ACTUALLY READ the whole Declaration of Independence in which our Founding Fathers carefully list 27 of the main reasons for why they were breaking away from the rule of the King of England?
IN THIS 250th ANNIVERSARY YEAR OF OUR DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE, it’s traitorous the way that Trump is flagrantly violating “THE 27 GRIEVANCES” that our Founding Fathers listed as the reasons why they wrote our Declaration to free America from the dictatorial rule of the King of England.
Today, King Trump is in clear violation of at least Grievances 1, 7, 10, 11, 16, and 27. Below are those Grievances as written in the Declaration of Independence and the reasons why Trump is in violation of them — as well as being in violation of our Constitution:
GRIEVANCE 1. “He [the King of England] has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.”
—> The most important law that King Trump has refused to assent to is our nation’s Constitution, but King Trump is also violating other key federal and state laws that support “the public good.”
—> Plus, Article VI of our Constitution says that the provisions of treaties into which the United States enters become “the law of the land” in the United States; and,
—> And, The United States is party to the United Nations Charter, a treaty among nations which governs relations between nations; as a treaty to which the United States is party, the provisions of the Charter are “the law of the land” in the United States, as stipulated by Article VI; and,
—> The provisions of the UN Charter, which are “the law of the land” in the United States, stipulate that no member nation shall threaten or use military force against another nation, and Trump is therefore forbidden by Article VI to threaten any nation with or to use military force against another nation unless the United States is attacked by that nation; but,
—> King Trump threatened to use military force against Venezuela, Greenland, and Mexico, among others, none of which attacked the United States; and,
—> King Trump has not only threatened but has in fact used military force against Venezuela; therefore,
—> King Trump has both violated Article VI of our Constitution and has breached his Oath of Office in which Trump swore to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
GRIEVANCE 7. “He has endeavoured to prevent the population [growth] of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.”
—> States have always known that immigration is essential for economic growth. Yet today, King Trump has ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) agents to arrest and deport persons who are engaged in the lawful process of becoming United States citizens, often seizing these persons as they arrive at court for pre-arranged procedures that are part of the lawful process of becoming a naturalized citizen.
GRIEVANCE 10. “He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.”
—> Yet today, King Trump has sent and continues to send armed ICE agents into U.S. cities where they use military tactics and unnecessary force to harass citizens who are concerned about and protest the use of such violent and unnecessary tactics and force and who are exercising their First Amendment Right to Assemble to demonstrate against government policies and actions…just like Patriots did in Boston in 1770.
GRIEVANCE 11. “He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.”
—> Yet, today, without the consent of state legislatures, King Trump has sent armed federalized National Guard soldiers into the cities of various states. Furthermore, in order to get around court orders against his using the National Guard, King Trump has turned ICE into a standing army of armed ICE agents to invade states without the consent of the state legislatures, thereby violating states’ rights.
GRIEVANCE 16. “For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world”:
—> Yet today, King Trump has instituted tariffs that cut off and/or restrict the ability of states and private industries and farmers to engage in international trade. The President has done this by usurping the constitutional authority of We the People through our congressional representatives to determine when and where to impose international trade tariffs.
GRIEVANCE 27. “He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us….”
—> Yet today, King Trump is inciting citizens to assemble to protest the actions of ICE, the purpose of ICE being in fact to trigger violent protests against ICE’s ever-more-violent actions so that President Trump can invoke The Insurrection Act, enforce Martial Law, and oversee the 2026 midterm elections to make sure Republicans win, because as Trump stated at the January 6, 2025, House Republican Retreat, if the Houses of Congress come under control by those who oppose him, he will be impeached for his VIOLATIONS OF OUR CONSTITUTION AND FOR BREACHING HIS OATH OF OFFICE.
