Read it again.
Think about it.
Which side are you on?
Snopes says the poster was once available in the gift shop of the Holocaust Museum.
Snopes says:
The list was originally created by Laurence Britt in 2003, for an article published by Free Inquiry magazine (a publication for secular humanist commentary and analysis). While subsequent postings of the list often attribute it to “Dr. Laurence Britt,” the author said that he was not actually a doctor (nor did he claim to be). Britt himself said that he could be more accurately described as an amateur historian
It quotes this note about the poster:
Laurence W. Britt wrote about the common signs of fascism in April 2003, after researching seven fascists regimes. Those were Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Germany, Benito Mussolini’s Italy, Francisco Franco’s Spain, Antontio de Oliveira Salazar’s Portual, George Papadopoulos’s Greece, August Pinochet’s Chile, Mohamed Suharto’s Indonesia. These signs resonate with the political and economic direction of the United states under Bush/Cheney. Get involved in reversing this anti-democratic direction while you still can!

I read widely. I am not proposing that the articles are the verifiable observable reality, chichis MY definition O F TRUTH, but I am sharing them with you, because they make interesting reading on the subject.

Amazing that our Dear Leader hasn’t had this taken down.
Although I’ve posted a version of this before, it bears repeating, especially because of Pete’s opening remarks:

Please check your facts before you post stuff. I don’t like Trump either, but at least be honest and accurate in your postings…

I changed the headline. The sign existed before Trump.

I posted the sign on my classroom door and had a lot of kids think it through what it means both in history and today.

Interesting sign. Find it a bit scarey.

So, why is it no longer sold in the gift shop?

Trump is a despicable ignoramus, but these signs of fascism have been apparent in the U.S. for years before Trump entered the White House. Mussolini, the fascist dictator himself, identified fascism as government and corporations working together. This has been the case here for many decades, now.
As Tom Englehardt of TomDispatch.com and The Nation Institute put it earlier today: “I also continue to believe that President Trump isn’t an anomaly, but the unsettling result of the last 15 years of America’s never-ending wars, its growing inequality gap, its ever-expanding 1% politics, the rise of the national security state as our fourth branch of government, and so on.”
The U.S. is a global imperialist whose foreign and domestic policies are driven by its corporate patrons through their greedy, willing servants of BOTH corporate parties in Congress. If we matter at all to them, it is as an afterthought, especially just before elections, which are increasingly rigged by both voter suppression and gerrymandering as well as by easily-hacked computer voting machines (and I do NOT mean by the Russians).

Amen! I’ve seen it coming for years but the general population seemed to stick their heads in the sand because they were making good money and climbing the social ladder. It wasn’t until the recession hit that the public started to take notice. It wasn’t until the election that they actually woke up and said “Oh Shit!”. My fear is that it’s too late and there is no way to pull ourselves out of the rabbit hole.

We desperately need to find time laugh to cope with our fears these days. If you did not watch last night’s Colbert, please scroll forward to about 3:35 on the video below to find some humor in our Dear Leader’s tweets. Very funny:

Yes it does and I know which side I’m on. I actually didn’t mean to reply to you. I was sending it to someone who would care but in this apathetic Bible Belt where I live and where people could lose their pension but won’t bother to simply join a FaceBook group to help, I have had to find other ways to reach them. Too many are holier than Thou until they have to do something and then it’s like pulling teeth but you know that.

You can still purchase the poster from the Syracuse Cultural Workers site, and they have a correct attribution to Larry Britt:
