I saw the show where Rachel Maddow tried to understand why Trump sent troops to invade Venezuela, kidnap its President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, and bring them to the U.S. to stand trial.
She reviews the usual reasons and determines that each of them is insufficient.
What’s the real reason? Open the link and see.

Trump’s invasion of Venezuela reflects Trump’s delusions of grandeur. At this point Trump held his meeting with all the oil executives about extracting Venezuela’s oil. They concurred with Rachel Maddow’s assessment of the situation. They appeared to be skeptical that this oil is worth the investment and time that it would take to make a profit. They were also concerned about taking such a financial risk in such a politically unstable country.
Trump behaves like a spoiled toddler. When he sees a shiny object, he wants it and will throw a tantrum to get it. It is unfortunate that he is misusing our military and nation to live out his delusion.

Yes, exactly right: he’s acting like an impulsive 2 year old again. I think, at bottom, he does it for power. Due to greed and the belief that he’s entitled, he is always inclined to steal from others, especially natural resources.
But real toddlers know nothing about boundaries, laws or ethics. He has no legitimate excuses and should know better. The same goes for those around him, who should stop letting an uncontrolled toddler loose on the world –with weapons in hand!

It is a distraction and an effort to bolster a war so he can cancel the upcoming elections because he realizes he will be impeached and quite possibly imprisoned. It is also a distraction from his Achilles heel, ties to Epstein. (I have a theory as to why Epstein is dead, but I will not use this space for that.)
His rationale to attack Iran, to protect protestors, is an all out effort to end our elections. Plain and simple.
