What is “Malignant Narcissism?”

   A psychiatrist I know said that from his public behavior, the primary diagnosis seems to be anti-social personality disorder. Some narcissists have grandiose schemes to help other people. With Trump, the main thing seems to be “winning” at other people’s expense. Of course he can be, and is, also a narcissist. And he has the short attention span of ADHD sufferers, according to Tony Schwartz, author of Art of the Deal, who spent over a year with him. An extremely odd case. To me he’s a kind of idiot-savant. A genius of marketing and the con. And an idiot at everything else. God help us.

   Ed reformers are saying it doesn’t matter that DeVos never attended a public school because Obama didn’t either

   Asking for a public school supporter in DC is now too much to demand. That’s too high a bar for public employees at the US Department of Education to meet. The best we can hope for are “agnostics”- people who don’t value public schools and would just as soon replace them.

   Why are public school parents paying for this? We get NO advocates in the federal government? DeVos advocates for charters. She advocates for vouchers. Where’s my public school advocate in DC? How did 40 million kids end up without a single advocate in the federal government?

   That’s a HELL of an omission. The Best and Brightest have somehow managed to exclude 90% of children. Good work,ed reform! Sheer genius to “reform” public education while excluding public school parents, teachers and students.

   Sanity is avoiding the network news and muting the TV if you do happen to catch a glimpse of “the sun king.” I am not advocating being uninformed. It is much easier to read about all the mistakes and blunders of “agent orange” than watching his arrogant sneering face, and it is easier on your psyche.

   A great article that is spot on. The author says that her head is spinning, mine too. You don’t need to be a psychiatrist to see that Trump is malignant and wrong for this country. It was apparent for many years before he even started his rise to the presidency. What is the matter with this country that we would elect such an unqualified person to the White House? Are we a psychopathic country? Is the USA a malignantly narcissistic country? Nah, there are too many decent, sane and humanitarian Americans to offset the minority of nasty, mean deplorables. I am not accusing all the people who voted for Trump of being vile or nasty.

     You should be, most of them are. We have long been a nation of guilty till proven innocent. So those you know who voted for him should post bail (figuratively) till they can explain why they felt compelled to destroy the lives of so many people and what they hoped to achieve personally from Trump. Few would have an answer that past the smell test. Ignorance of a criminal action is not an excuse in court. It should not be an excuse in how we judge people. From greed to racism their motives were not altruistic.

     He is very wrong for the country, but people didn’t like HRC. I voted for her because it was my only choice. We are NOT a psychopathic country though. It is easy for those of us with jobs and food on the table and decent clothes to wear and retirement accounts to say “what the hell is going on”. If our situations were different and we were living paycheck to paycheck and worried that our families wouldn’t be fed, I think we would have a different view of the situation. Those overlooked citizens were angry and tired of listening to the lies as the rich got richer. They made a choice that unfortunately, affects everyone and they will soon find out that they have been fed even more lies. Angry people wanted change and change is what they are getting, whether it is good for them (and us) or not.

     After being fed the myth of American Exceptionalism for so many decades, a large portion chooses to believe it and wants to always be the “winner’s”…and thus, we have a new Fascism called Trump-ism. From the beginnings of creating a national myth with Manifest Destiny, our nation’s leaders have sought slogans to manipulate opinion.

     This morning, in the LA Times, there is a long article on NSC and Bannon’s appointment, current with the forcing out of the real people who know and understand this vital agency, the Joint Chiefs. Now we have the head of the ‘Alternative Facts’ group in charge of the safety of the country, and of us all. Standing with him in a photo are Flynn and Miller, and these three weirdly delusional men are now in charge.

     Yesterday we learned that airport police are defying the NU judge’s order re the status of travelers from 7 Middle Eastern nations, and they are breaking our codified laws to support the Fascists, Trump, Bannon, Flynn, and Miller. When will they begin to shut down protests that seem to be spontaneously popping up all over the country? when will they begin to shoot countrymen/women, as with Standing Rock protesters? as with airport protesters? as with Marchers?

     We are on now in the era of the America(n) First Reich.

After reading it, you will know why I will never be nice to this monster or treat him with any respect regardless of the title he now holds as the 45th president of the United States.

   Littlefingers is the 45th President because of Putin, voter suppression, white supremacists, endless lies, a decades-long campaign smearing the Clintons (based on some truth but more lies), and a lot of easily fooled voters.
