Here’s a thankless task. A blogger in Indiana is trying to sort out facts from empty boasts by the state’s Superintendent of (Public) Instruction.

“Thankless” hardly scratches the surface. I’d rather take a swim in the Chicago sewer system than wade through that man’s mouthings. God love him and I hope he has a therapist who specializes in trauma on his speed dial.
The only good thing about Bennett is that there’s a chance he could be unelected soon.
Dienne,
Your last statement is important for voters in Indiana, and across the nation, to understand. We cannot vote out the Kerns, Waltons, DeVos, Milkens. However, as Ms. Ravitch put it on a post a few days ago, these profiteers need a “willing hand-maiden”. That’s Tony Bennett. He can be voted out.
Ending Bennett’s version of disaster capitalism in public education is my ceaseless task from now until election day.
