As you know, Trump took control of The Kennedy Center and named himself chairman of the board. He kicked all Democrats off the board and named Trumpers to replace them.
Some artists cancelled, some continued to perform. Trump’s new director, Richard Grennel, canceled the national tour of a children’s show called “Finn,” because it promoted love, kindness, and tolerance.
A band called Guster was performing at The Kennedy Center on March 29, and the band leader talked about the cancellation of “Finn.” Then he invited the cast of “Finn” to join him onstage and the audience went wild.
I almost cried: tears of joy.

What I don’t understand is that Finn’s producers _chose_ not to play the Kennedy Center. Why did Guster decide to play there and did the Finn performers break their producer’s boycott?

Finn’s producers did not cancel or boycott the Kennedy Center. The venue’s new Trump-appointed administration canceled Finn’s scheduled performance at the venue, claiming it was a “financial decision” despite selling out a previous engagement there.

What I don’t understand is why Russel Millerny C doesn’t understand what this post said. What grade level do they read at?

If the Democratic party had nominated a stronger candidate – i.e. not Kamela Harris – we would not have the awful Trump in office again. If the news media had reported honestly on the cognitive decline of Joe Biden, he would have been forced to drop out sooner and Harris would not have been nominated. Diane Ravitch insisted that Biden was A-OK, and she still won’t admit that she made a fool of herself with her blind devotion to Biden.

And a bit more good news. Maybe the on stage defiance of DJT on The Kennedy Center Stage is spreading. And this time to Law Firms.
More than 500 law firms on Friday 4/4/25 threw their support behind some of their embattled peers, declaring that President Trump’s recent crackdown on the law firm industry poses “a grave threat to our system of constitutional governance and to the rule of law itself.”
The firms, 504 in all, signed a so-called friend of the court brief that was filed on behalf of Perkins Coie, the first firm to receive an executive order restricting its business.
