Ben Meiselas of the Meidas Touch blog had the rare opportunity to interview President Joe Biden in the White House. Please watch the interview.
What comes through is that President Biden is thoughtful, well-informed, and fully functional. This interview should shut up the hyenas who claim that he is senile. Trumper recently wrote on this blog that Biden was a “vegetable.” So many lies, so much hatred for a man who has tried to solve problems and help people.
The other thing that shines through is that Joe Biden is a good man. A good man. He has tried to do what is best for the American people. He has a conscience. He has a soul. He is decent. His heart is filled with kindness, not hate. He is not angry. He does not have an enemies’ list. What he does have is a long list of legislative accomplishments.
Could anyone say the same about the other guy? No.
Meiselas has been getting threats just for airing the interview. He is not intimidated.

Good days and bad days.

Thanks for this look into the Biden legacy. Biden demonstrates a deep understanding of history, politics, foreign policy, and he still intends to work on environmental issues to make the country safer for future generations. He remains an optimistic patriot, or as his doctor described him, a congenital optimist. I had no idea that Biden had had a cerebral aneurysm that was repaired through surgery. There is no question Biden is slowing down, but he still has a depth of experience and rich memories from his long career in politics that few leaders have.

RT, as I always say, Biden on his worst day is a zillion times preferable to Trump on his best day. Biden is a good man with deep knowledge and wisdom and a good heart.
Trump is not a good man. He has neither knowledge nor wisdom. He has no heart.

Few politicians have served as long as Biden. I hope he writes his memoirs, and I hope Democrats can find a dynamic leader that can build on Biden’s vision of a more inclusive country that is willing to address the existential threat of climate change.

Biden’s accumulations of experience coalesced to manifest wisdom. Trump’s accumulations of experience coalesced to manifest stupidity.
Cipolla’s Basic Laws of Human Stupidity posit that we are not all created equal. No amount of experience that Trump accumulates will ever make him equal to Biden.

Biden is a political figure with whom I have agreements and with whom I occasionally differ. As such, he represents the traditional compromises made in all political matters. Trump and MAGA are different. Take him all or he goes after you with Musk Money (for fiddle music fans, a tune from the early 1800s was called “Money Musk”)
The contrast is great.

I wish Trump wreaked vengeance only with money but now he owns the Justice Department and can go after his enemies on the government’s dollars.
Defending a lawsuit against the government is very expensive very fast. Most people would be bankrupt quickly.

Biden is not doing what a cognitively fit president – by the standards of the NYT and WSJ – would do and claiming the US has the right to Greenland. And the Panama Canal.
Now THAT’s the kind of interview that Biden would have to do to get the WSJ and NYT to totally normalize his actions and write fawning articles about him. If only Biden would recommend seizing Greenland or injecting bleach, then the NYT would decide his cognitive fitness is simply not newsworthy (‘cuz the public already knows so the NYT can’t mention it anymore) but what is relevant is writing 100 stories every week focusing on the Americans who matter — the very good people who think Biden is the greatest man ever and hate Trump for threatening to end democracy, for his criminal assaults on women, and for spewing racist attacks that insult Black and Latino Americans.
If only Biden had spent his presidency seeking retribution against any person who criticized him, and threatening Greenland and Canada, the NYT and WSJ would admire his cognitive fitness.

NYT today:
“Over the past two days, President-elect Donald J. Trump has made clear that he has designs for American territorial expansion, declaring that the United States has both security concerns and commercial interests that can best be addressed by bringing the Panama Canal and Greenland under American control or outright ownership.
Mr. Trump’s tone has had none of the trolling jocularity that surrounded his repeated suggestions in recent weeks that Canada should become America’s “51st state,” including his social media references to the country’s beleaguered prime minister as “Governor Justin Trudeau.”
Instead, while naming a new ambassador to Denmark — which controls Greenland’s foreign and defense affairs — Mr. Trump made clear on Sunday that his first-term offer to buy the landmass could, in the coming term, become a deal the Danes cannot refuse.”
Imagine that NYT article if Biden had done this:
“Over the past two days, President Joe Biden has demonstrated cognitive confusion about who owns Greenland and the Panama Canal, making demented statements that the United States has both security concerns and commercial interests that can best be addressed by bringing the Panama Canal and Greenland under American control or outright ownership.
Mr. Biden’s tone revealed more of his cognitive failings, and reminded Americans of when the media properly emphasized (in 500 articles) how even more demented Biden was than a few weeks ago, when when Biden suggested Canada should become America’s “51st state” and confused Canada’s popular Prime Minster Justin Trudeau with a Governor.
Biden’s insane suggestion, which admirers of NYT’s excellent unbiased reporting suggest must have occurred on one of Biden’s frequent “bad days”, caused grave concern among the 500 good Americans the NYT asked about whether Biden’s crazy suggestion to force American taxpayers to buy Greenland was a sign of dementia or full on insanity. In the coming weeks, the NYT will be interviewing people at a diner who agree that Biden is demented to make sure their voices are amplified every day.
But Americans of every political background are expressing grave concern that demented Biden insists this is a deal that the Danes cannot refuse.
Wait – news just in that this was Trump, not Biden, so the NYT retracts this and reports that Trump is acting with strength and standing up for what’s good for America.”
I wish this was a joke, but basically, Trump can take the most insane, undemocratic actions and the so-called liberal media will normalize it.
