The following spewing was posted at 2:43 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day on “Truth Social.”
Can you imagine a barely coherent, venomous monologue like this coming from President Eisenhower, or President Kennedy, or President Johnson, or President Nixon, or President Ford, or President Reagan,or President George H.W. Bush, or President Clinton, or President George W. Bush, or President Obama, or President Biden? I can’t. What all of our past presidents had in common was a recognition that the Presidency required a sense of dignity. Whatever their personal flaws, they understood the importance of projecting decorum and composure to the public. They may have cursed like sailors in private but in public they maintained the dignity of the office.

Looking forward to the DSM-6 entry for Trump Syndrome …

It’s hard to imagine Trump understanding Groucho Marxism, much less Karl Marxism. I would LOVE to see a reporter push him on this JUST ONCE, to hear one say, “You talk a lot about Marxists and Marxism, Mr. President. Let’s get into the specifics. What’s your take on the theory of surplus value? I would also like to hear your analysis of Marx’s take on worker alienation. So, let’s start with the first. Surplus value? To you accept that analysis, or do you have a critique of it?”

Although dialectical materialism is a Marxian concept. It is also a foundation of modern Social Science. Trump is very much a an expert in the subject. For certain his ethos are shaped by the silver spoon he inherited at birth.

Completely in agreement, there.
“There is no joy in his life”
He seems to enjoy his rallies.
“His money doesn’t make him happy…”
The venom is really pouring out, now that he realizes his businesses and properties in NY are going to be dissolved and sold off. Money is one of the things that makes him happy and he’s about to lose a lot of it. Along with the ability to do business in the city of his birth. One of the things I really worry about, should he be elected, is the revenge factor. No question he’ll be putting Engeron in his sights.
“…and many people can’t stand him. I’m one of them.”

The would-be king for life is nothing short of an embarrassment. He spews hatred for anyone who is committed to maintaining the protection and sanctity of the Constitution. He is a fraud, a cheat, and a phony who hides behind comments that he cannot defend or explain.
He is actually reminiscent of the demon in the Excorcist who foams and drools from the mouth when he is in over his head. His logic is based on illogic and incoherent ramblings and rumblings, like a spoiled brat who thinks about everything from the “I and Me” approach.
The want-to-be-king will get more and more desperate as Election Day gets closer. He must be stopped or defeated, the latter the most likely.
While 40% of Americans see him as their savior, 60% recognize him for the monster he truly is. The crowds of his fans were much larger in 2020 than they are today, which is an indicator that his core is symmetrically as small. The foam and drool of a desperate maniac will become more frequent and antagonistic, as he becomes more desperate while truth and reality continue to set in on him.

INT. OVAL OFFICE – DAY

SERLING
His name, Mr. Little. A man with little education, little taste, little knowledge, little concern for other people. Neglected as a child, he grew into a black hole of neediness. And so he used Daddy’s money to build big, erected his name in Midas-gold letters across the landscape–his every action screaming, “I am worth something.” Everything became a zero-sum game. If someone else failed or was worse off, he was better, a “winner,” and so he cheated and harassed and ridiculed the unfortunate, the stranger, the down and out; appealed to the basest instincts of the basest among us; huffed and puffed and blew himself to gigantic proportions, at least in his own little brain. A twisted, malignant, metastasizing tumor of need and narcissism and knee-jerk nastiness, Mr. Little doesn’t know much, but the biggest thing he doesn’t know is that he just stepped over into a place where everything is bigger than he is, where everything is just beyond the grasp of his little mind and his little hands. He just stepped over into . . . The Twilight Zone.

Where does one, rather, where can one begin to wrap their head around such a retching of pestilent effluvium? I’ve seen this before: decades ago, visiting a schizophrenic uncle who had just had a breakdown thinking he “outgrew” his condition. The stuff he wrote made sense–only to him in his mind–but looked like a verbal road map offered by AAA. But other, less affected types penned or spoke paranoid tirades like the one above. And yes, 40 million people still want this glob of putrescence for the office of chief executive. It’s actually not too mind-boggling if you think about it. Most Trump voters have finally, after years of repressing all their hatred, racism, bigotry, sexism, and overall ignorance, gained two things with Trump: 1. a legitimized-via-mainstream identity, and 2. strong connections over said identity. Lonely, isolated, embittered, and cast aside for so long–unerwunschteren–they have found like-minded, like-lived-as-such others. After so many years in the dark with their darkness, are they really going to just give all that up?

The hardest part of the recovery is regaining your strength, esp your legs (after days of immobility). My surgeon’s advice was excellent: walk, walk, walk. My cardiologist gave me the rule of six:
For six days you feel like you were run over by a truck.
For six weeks, you feel crummy.
By six months, you are yourself again.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Authoritarianism is on the rise, worldwide. A lot of it, to my view, is due to the immigration crisis. SO many people are fleeing their countries for fear of their lives (much less their liberties).
There will always be the racists and flag wavers who will resent and try to repress immigration…but the pandemic has exacerbated the problem in a big way. Nations, states, cities, towns, and villages are trying to recover, economically, and the added costs of, screening, caring for, and potentially assimilating these people creates an additional strain which creates even more resentment from the residents.
And who gets the blame? The administrations that are trying to deal with the situation in a humanitarian way.
Enter Trump and his brethren. Shut the vermin out and vilify the people who think otherwise.
I see a parallel between the immigration crisis and the pandemic: a world that’s built on competition is being tasked with cooperating, instead. Not an easy switch. The difference is that there was a medical necessity component with the pandemic. Not so with the plight of the immigrants.

It’s hard not to be cynical about edu-reformers claims when NAR is a strong proponent of chartes & vouchers. Their God chosen savior is a liar, rapist, fraudster & demagogue. After listening to these podcasts, it’s obvious the Christian right is playing the long game. Yet, here we see secular ed- privatization proponents boost Christian fascists when they sneak into legislation for more funding for charters & vouchers.

I highly recommend this Podcast series on NAR & it’s influence deep inside the government.
https://icjs.org/charismatic-revival-fury/
“Charismatic Revival Fury: The New Apostolic Reformation” is a podcast series on the history of the New Apostolic Reformation with ICJS Protestant scholar Matthew D. Taylor. The series, which is part of the Straight White American Jesus podcast, explores the history of the NAR through its key figures—starting with C. Peter Wagner, then moving to Ché Ahn, Lance Wallnau, Cindy Jacobs, and Dutch Sheets. Along the way, we see how people like Sean Feucht, Gen. Michael Flynn, Doug Mastriano, and others fit into the NAR matrix.
The NAR is the most influential Christian phenomenon that you either haven’t heard of, or don’t understand. It is much discussed, but rarely explored in depth with a scholar’s insight and patience. This series will break down myths and clearly present the origins of the fastest growing component of Christianity in the USA—and maybe the world.

I just looked up the phrase “heavy hearted” -because that’s how this continual bombardment of TrumpShit makes me feel.
It’s like walking through the Third Circle of Hell in Dante’s Inferno, the place where the Gluttons end up. There’s the same sort of continual raining down of crap upon our country. And, this feeling has been going on since, what, 2016.
The now famous “deplorables” are to expected amidst our nation turned Inferno. They’re no surprise and, really, they’ve existed throughout human history. (Even the so-called “Greatest Generation” in the U.S., of course, had its sizeable number of cheats, slackers and idiots.)
What really hurts….what REALLY makes my heart heavy, is when you encounter decent people, friends, loved ones, who have decided to eat this Trump swill.
It’s like when one of the dead souls in Dante’s hell pops up from the stinking slush, and says ‘Hey, Dante, remember me??’ (Ogozalek translation, 2023)
(For a much more erudite version: http://dantelab.dartmouth.edu/reader?reader%5Bcantica%5D=1&reader%5Bcanto%5D=6)
I’ve been searching for days now for an adequate term to describe just how depressing it is that so many of our fellow citizens (if you believe the polls) are wiling to vote once again for Donald J. Trump in 2024.
At least Trump reportedly got some people booing him at the South Carolina vs. Clemson game yesterday. A ray of light!
BTW bit of history re. heavy heartedness: “The phrase might be originated from the Egyptian mythology that says that the dead ones would go for judgment after death and their heart will be weighed against the Feather of Truth if their heart will weigh less, and then they will be sent to heaven by Osiris, the God. But, if their heart will weigh more, then they will be put into the jaws of Ammit – a demoness and goddess in ancient Egyptian religion, she has the head of a crocodile, the body of a lion, and the backside of a hippopotamus.” https://www.theidioms.com/heavy-heart/
P.S. Take care, Joel.
