I was stacking the dishwasher one morning when I starting singing this song, which I haven’t heard for many decades.
I think you will enjoy it too.

Too funny. Exactly right. Let us all enjoy today. Everyone has worked very hard on every level to unload this monster and his minions. We tell the kids, “Pat yourself on the back. Now pat yourself on the other back.” However it all turns out, citizens are awake and reclaiming their democracy. That puts us squarely “In the pink.”

Thanks for this trip down memory lane from when I was a kid. From wikipedia: Doris Day (born Doris Mary Anne Kappelhoff; April 3, 1922 – May 13, 2019). Day died on May 13, 2019, at the age of 97, after having contracted pneumonia. Her death was announced by her charity, the Doris Day Animal Foundation. Per Day’s requests, the Foundation announced that there would be no funeral services, grave marker, or other public memorials. end quote
She is no longer with us but her recordings still can cheer us up and and even give us something to think about.

She left quite a legacy. A ‘Cincinnati Girl’ I believe. So much profundity in an apparently frivolous, upbeat song.

Me, too!! I wouldn’t have been able to stomach Que Sera, Sera.
I don’t mind it for personal fortune-telling, but not with this election. Too much at stake for the whole country.
