During the 2016 campaign, Donald Trump spoke of his commitment to protect the rights of LGBT people.
He lied.
ProPublica released a report documenting the Trump administration’s step-by-step dismantling of federal protections of LGBT persons–in the military, in public housing, in schools, in health care, and in enforcement of civil rights in the courts.

Very little that I have to say about the Trump misadministration can be said to a civil public forum, but it involves a LOT of cursing. Fortunately, the English language has been quite promiscuous over the centuries and has borrowed curses from many languages, so I have great riches to draw upon when I discuss these vile bigots in private.

I wrote this letter to Braun, who won the Senate by saying he was the strongest Trump supporter. Two other Republicans didn’t win who were running against him.
I responded with this letter:
Dear Senator Braun,
NO, I won’t give you any money.
It never ends…Trump’s bigotry and hatred. He has NO redeeming qualities. Every day he hurts more and more people.
His fake news nonsense is now being copied by leaders around the world who don’t want the truth to be exposed.
His lies are now over 14,000 since being elected by the Electoral College.
Trump is a narcissistic, xenophobic, misogynistic, demented, racist bully who doesn’t read, doesn’t learn and makes decisions by his ‘wonderful intelligent’ gut. He claims his gut is smarter than most people’s brains. He is a con man who works against average people. He has continuously worked to hurt immigrants, children and LGBTQ people.
He is a criminal who has hundreds of state lawsuits against him. Here’s hoping he lands in prison with nobody to pardon him for state crimes.

We need an explicit law that makes discrimination against a member of the LBGT community a violation of civil rights laws. Otherwise, we will continue to face more erosion of rights of this community. They pay their taxes like everyone and deserve protection from bigots religious fanatics under the law. LBGT should be a protected class.

There is no way to separate the two largest, American, fundamentalist religions- Catholic and evangelical from political issues, e.g. birth control, gay rights and women’s equality because the religious hierarchies are engaged politically. The faith of a person could and should remain private but that covenant is broken when a person’s faith drives a religious agenda that impacts us all and/or when one person’s denominational membership, aggregated, gives clout to the church’s leaders.
In a democracy, it is negligent and dangerous to ignore what Udi Greenberg of Dartmouth wrote about the Catholic Church’s significant change, Steve Bannon’s activities linked to the Catholic Church, the political activities of the Knights of Columbus and, the link that Yales’ Steinmetz-Jenkins found between religion and authoritarian leaders.
Fox radio host, Laura Ingraham, converted from Baptist to Catholic. Radio host, Sean Hannity is Catholic. Fox’s Roger Ailes converted from Presbyterian to Catholic. Fox’s Murdoch received an award from the prosperity Catholics’ Pope John Paul II.
Two of the most well known members of Congress linked to racial intolerance, Iowa’s Steve King and Louisiana’s Steve Sacalise are Catholic. Rolling Stone identified the “Hateful 8”, a list of 2018 candidates expressing views of intolerance (some were defeated). Four out of the 8 were Catholic, three were “Christian”. (In the general population, Americans are about 20% Catholic and, about 20%,”Christian”.)

The Koch footprints on the agenda sends up a huge red flag. The Koch network will promote tax funding for religious and private schools to weaken the common good. Then, after public schools are eliminated, they will argue for, no tax funding for religious schools.
Their goals and theocracy’s threaten a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

All the Democratic wannabe Presidential candidates that this is no time for feel good chauvinism. The concentration must be on election day. Get the vote out. We are all for the same progressive ideals. The Republican Party has never been. This is the message. Older people vote, minorities must vote big to be sure we beat the dangers in the White House and Congress. We need women in big numbers too, including the suburban women disgusted with the direction of their influencing their husbands party, influencing their spouses too. Young people, the least likely cohort to actually vote, perhaps the most idealistic, need to understand we need a practical way to get control of their future. Too much is at stake. Focus on registering voters and getting the vote out in November. We need a real landslide at every level of government to avert disaster.

Really, Donald Trump lied? How can that be? He has led such a saintly, honest life up to this point with so much courage.
Funding soup kitchens to feed the poor through his foundation and even volunteering to work in those soup kitchens instead of playing golf at one of his resorts.
Attacking money lenders that charge too much interest.
Providing free college educations.
Turning water into wine for the working class.
Fixing the medical industry so everyone has health care and doesn’t have to worry about going bankrupt and becoming homeless.
Getting rid of all the robots in the manufacturing industry creating millions of highly paid jobs.
Raising taxes on the richest-percent and cutting taxes for the working middle class.
Limiting the DOD’s annual budget to no more than twice what China’s defense budget is.
Earning Purple Hearts for all of his wounds in battle, and more than one Medal of Honor for his courage in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Implementing livable incomes for everyone.
Responsible for the cleanest environmental laws in the world leading to pure air and water across the country.
NOTE: Sorry for all the lies I listed above. How long would I have to keep at this to break Donald Trump’s record for lying?
