They are better than mine. I just want to stay healthy, exercise, and eat heathy foods.

  4. Woody Guthrie’s only published novel, House of Earth, was published in 2013. The lengthy introduction by Douglas Brinkley and Johnny Depp(!) gives a great deal of insight into Guthrie’s life and philosophies. The book is a good read (very earthy – pun intended) if you have an interest in the Dust Bowl. Guthrie had some very level headed solutions to living in the area. The Worst Hard Time by Timothy Egan is the best book I’ve found about the era and it is G-rated and suitable for mid to upper grade students.

I have no doubt that Guthrie didn’t keep some of his “New Years Rulin’s”.

  5. Oh, I don’t know. As lovely a list Woody Guthrie put together, I think New Year resolutions, like education plans, should be individualized. Yours reflect your present needs quite well. And all of ours, since we need you hale and hearty and healthy.
