Former President Barack Obama met the annual honor flight of veterans on Veterans Day. This is a flight full of veterans, all-expenses paid, to visit D.C. and tour memorials to their service.
The veterans on the flight were stunned to see President Obama and hear him on the PA system. He thanked each veteran with a handshake as they left the plane.
The expressions on their faces are priceless.
President Obama didn’t do it for money or to win votes. He wanted to say thank you for your service.

A lesson for the Toxic T, which won’t be learned from, since that subhuman convicted rapist, fraud, and felon is a ___________________ FILL IN THE BLANK.

Obama wanted to make sure that a President, even if not the current one, welcomed them with the importance that a President gives our country’s soldiers. I’m sure he made them feel “special” as they should.
Trump wouldn’t have gone because there was nothing in it for Him.

There was a nice veteran day program on Nashville Public Radio. The journalist interviewed several people involved with the regular army as their service career. They also responded to questions about their relationship with civilian society once they got out. Finally, each vet was asked to recall how they felt about people thanking them for their service. To a person, they all suggested that a thank you from total strangers for their service made them feel somewhat uncomfortable. They were mostly uneasy about the attention.

Trump is a stench.

I watched the video of President Obama greeting the Honor Flight Veterans. As a retired vet who was drafted in 1967 the honor and praise that President Obama gave those Veterans will live with them for the rest of their lives. In a way, President Obama’s words that were spoken from the heart made this old vet a couple thousand miles away from Washington DC pump a lot better and helped to renew the pride I have had in serving the people of the United States of America. I would do it all over again.

A classy move, to say the very least.
