Writing in VICE, Anna Merlin describes the internal squabbling in the anti-vaccine world. Vaccine skeptics are denouncing one another, suing one another, accusing the others of lying.
The pro-vax blogger “Misinformation Kills” says “The Cranks Are Fighting! Grab your popcorn” and watch the anti-vax leaders destroy each other.

I have had 4 ‘jabs’ already and still wear a mask when going into a store. At times vaccinations of any kind trigger allergic reactions in people, some reactions even deadly. In today’s world, where junk food, drugs, etc. are king, a person’s immune system and overall health is to be questioned and thoroughly checked. I would add that in very olden days, it took vaccines up to 10 years to be allowed on the market – today stuff is rushed for the sake of profits and never mind who suffers any consequence.

Masks certainly reduce spread of infection but as the population becomes more immune that’s up to you.
More clueless is your assertion that the vaccine was rushed .Or that natural immunity is better . Better if you survive the infection but not better than having both Vaccine and Infection immunity .
As a slight side note Small Pox Vaccine was not a lifetime Vaccine. If you were traveling in a region there was infection it was every 3 years , working with patients yearly .
In the old days you did not have a Pandemic that had infected 103 million Americans as of this morning. That has killed 1 million 130 thousand Americans as of this morning.
So what does this mean for the speed of the Vaccines development. The vaccine took 25 years to be developed from concept to approval . When the Pandemic started it took only a few days to formulate a vaccine for Human Trials. Done using a platform that was going to be tested on a different virus. A trial that would have taken years.
Long before Trumptards came up with Operation Warp Speed those Clinical Trials were approved in the EU and US .
There are 4 things that make vaccine development a slow process.
1) There seldom are new diseases that are so widespread that it is a profitable venture investing in them . CHECK
2) In order to test new vaccines and approve them, you need enough disease to make potential infections large enough to compile the statistical data necessary for approval.
(You could have a 100% effective Vaccine if you tested it at an antarctic Lab where no disease was present). CHECK
3) Finding volunteers to participate in Vaccine trials is usually difficult. When 10s of millions feared being infected in this country and the EU there was no problem getting volunteers. You can add the millions who received Vaccine in early 2021 before full approval to that list of those lining up for the opportunity to test the Vaccine including most (?) on this page who waited months for the opportunity. But the case number guidelines for safety , potential exposure and efficacy were met . Which is why the vaccine did not come out when Trumpelstiltskin wanted it, till they were met.
4) money is always a problem in Vaccine Trials and Development. Starting in Germany Millions of dollars were poured into the trial and production of MRNA vaccines. Whether they worked or not they were guaranteed reimbursement . Germany Paying Pfizer for a production facility to be built. And Yes Warp Speed Guaranteed that if it was produced it would be paid for. As well as funding Moderna Trials.
That said I am not defending the Pharmaceutical industry. Being that Gubberments pay the overwhelming costs for prescription drug research when you add in to the 40% they directly finance the subsidies to Universities and Hospitals they are developed and tested at. We can do a lot better than a 16th century funding model that gives Government mandated Monopolies in exchange for research. Much of which is wasted on copy cat drugs. And monopolizing markets.
MRNA research would never have been funded without Government or outside those research institutions partially if not mostly funded by Government through the NIH and Defense Department.

Then there is the fact that to get elected, Republican candidates who got their COVID shots (like DeSantis and Trump – It would be interesting to find out how many other Republican candidates got their shots but supported the anti-vaccine movement for the votes) become anti-vaccers to gain the votes of anti-vaccers, contributing to the deaths of more Republicans than Democrats.
