My friend in Oklahoma’s baby died in utero at 7 months. They forced her to carry until her body expelled it. She ended up with peritonitis, nearly bled to death and can no longer conceive. Expect this in IN too.

And how do we know this is true? It’s a tweet! There is more to the story than a few simple sentences. When a baby dies in utero, it must be removed for the safety and life of the mother. This is not an “elective abortion”, it is a medically/surgically, lifesaving procedure. Any OB/GYN who would refuse treatment for this would be open to a malpractice suit and a possible loss of medical license.

LisaM, Look at the articles posted in these replies. Than let us know if you have any more questions.
I disagree that it’s an abortion if there isn’t a live birth to abort. If the fetus is already dead, it’s just the removal of dead cells. If a rocket on the way to the moon gets hit by orbiting space debris and the astronauts are killed, bringing the bodies home for funerals is not aborting the mission to the moon. It’s too late for that.
Oops! I meant to reply to NYSPSP.
LisaM says: “When a baby dies in utero, it must be removed for the safety and life of the mother. This is not an “elective abortion”, it is a medically/surgically, lifesaving procedure.”
I really hope you understand that “medically/surgically, lifesaving procedure” is called an ABORTION. And abortions are being made illegal in many states, thanks to those who said that there was no difference between Dems and Republicans and it’s no big deal to have a right wing Republican president fill an open Supreme Court seat and all the upcoming open seats for the next 4 years. They were wrong, or if they secretly wanted to make the procedures you mention illegal — then they were right to work so hard to prevent a Democrat from appointing Supreme Court Justices who weren’t far right wingers.
totally unnecessary.
This is the dystopian future for so many women with complex health issues during pregnancy. This is what happens when radical extremists take over SCOTUS and impose religious beliefs on women instead of providing them with humane, modern medical practice.
Doctors are afraid to perform any type of abortion because the laws are too vague. They might be sued or lose their license…so they wait. The life of the mother is then in danger.
This will happen over and over again.

Pregnant Woman, Fetus Die After Doctors Wouldn’t Perform Abortion Under Restrictive Law
11/2/21
30-year-old pregnant woman and her fetus died in Poland after doctors were not able to perform an abortion because of a new restriction in the country’s law on the procedure, the Associated Press reported.
The woman’s case was only made public Friday, though she died in September, and the news triggered some of Poland’s people to hold protests and an evening vigil Monday.
The woman, identified only as Izabela, died in her 22nd week of pregnancy from septic shock, AP reported. A lawyer for the woman’s family said that even though her fetus was lacking amniotic fluid, doctors did not perform an abortion…

The families of victims should sue the states for denying women life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Perhaps the families should sue states for involuntary manslaughter. Something needs to be done as the mistreatment of women in these states is Medieval or just just plan evil.

A warning for folks in Indiana:
You are living in Indiana.
Thank you Bob, for posting the articles. I used both of them and sent this letter to my rotten State Senator Neimeyer [R-IN] and Representative Slager [R-IN].
…………………………
Dear Senator Neimeyer and Representative Slager,
I noticed that BOTH of you voted to have the Indiana law reinstated to make it more difficult to get abortions in Indiana.
Some doctors are now afraid to do abortions because the law is unclear of what actually constitutes a violation of the law. They are afraid of being sued or losing their license.
Look at what occurred in Texas and Louisiana. Don’t blame the doctors. Blame the politicians. Blame conservatives on the Supreme Court who voted according to their religious biases to undue Roe vs. Wade which had been the law for 50 years.
Politicians in Illinois recognize that women can make an informed decision regarding their body by consulting with their doctor. Gov. J.B. Pritzker in 2019 signed the Reproductive Health Act, ensconcing the “fundamental right” to terminate a pregnancy into state law.
Planned Parenthood of Illinois anticipates an additional 20,000 to 30,000 patients will be crossing state lines for abortion care in Illinois each year.
New abortion clinics also recently opened near [Illinois] state boundary lines, in anticipation of the end of Roe v. Wade. Planned Parenthood opened a clinic in Waukegan near Wisconsin in 2020 and a clinic in Flossmoor near the Indiana border in 2018. Another clinic opened near the Missouri border in Fairview Heights in 2019, part of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri.
Sincerely,
Carol——-
Texas woman speaks out after being forced to carry her dead fetus for 2 weeks
The same surgical procedure that is used to treat a miscarriage is also used for terminating pregnancies. New Texas anti-abortion laws have doctors nervous to perform procedures for miscarriages, forcing this woman to carry her dead fetus in her womb for two weeks.

Louisiana Woman Forced to Endure ‘Painful’ Labor to Deliver Nonviable Fetus
A woman in Louisiana was forced to endure a “painful” and hours-long labor to deliver a fetus that was not viable, her doctor wrote in an affidavit supporting a legal challenge to the state’s abortion ban.

Carol Ring
Great, Carol!!! I wish that every citizen were as committed as you are!!!!
How horrible.
This is not a civilized nation.
Amen!
Inhumane, disgraceful, heartless, stupid, but all to common amongst radical religionists and right wing terrorists.
This is truly sick. No other words.
Agreed
Indiana has weird politicians. Pence is up there at the top.

Pence Signed a Law Requiring Burial or Cremation for Aborted Fetuses
July 15, 2016
The sweeping abortion bill that Indiana Gov. Mike Pence signed into law in March gained national attention for prohibiting women from electing to have an abortion due to the race, gender, or disability of the fetus. But the bill contained another unusual provision: It required that aborted fetuses receive what amounts to a funeral.
Pence, whom Donald Trump announced as his vice presidential running mate on Friday, signed the law that made Indiana the second state ever, after North Dakota, to pass a ban on abortions carried out for certain reasons. The law also imposed liability for wrongful death on doctors that perform an abortion motivated by one of the prohibited reasons. And, as Mother Jones reported in March, the law also required that health care facilities inter or cremate the remains of an aborted fetus, and prohibited fetal tissue donation.
Following the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down several Texas abortion restrictions in June, a federal judge blocked the Indiana law from going into effect.
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence signed the bill into law just this past March…
