Trump’s lies never end.
Even as former President Donald J. Trump invoked the Fifth Amendment in a New York inquiry into his business practices, he and his allies began an effort to discredit another investigation, suggesting without evidence, that federal agents may have planted incriminating materials before searching his residence in Florida on Monday.
In a post on Wednesday morning on his social media app, Truth Social, Mr. Trump said that the agents who showed up at Mar-a-Lago would not let anyone, including his lawyers, observe their work, which was authorized as a by a federal magistrate judge.
Mr. Trump — who has not released the search warrant provided by the agents to his lawyers or the manifest his team was given of the materials the agents gathered and removed — baselessly suggested that the F.B.I. might have acted inappropriately.
“Everyone was asked to leave the premises, they wanted to be alone,” he wrote, “without any witnesses to see what they were doing, taking or, hopefully not, ‘planting.’”
Mr. Trump’s effort to sow doubts about the F.B.I.’s search before the results are known was in keeping with his history of trying to head off news by seeking to turn the tables on his accusers. The former president’s first line of attack against adversaries is often to mount a campaign in advance to discredit them and their work.
Around the same time that his message appeared on social media, The New York Post published an article about the F.B.I. search, noting in the third paragraph that “a source close to the former president” had expressed concern that federal agents or prosecutors could have “planted stuff” in the 128-room building.
The unfounded allegations seem to have first emerged on Tuesday morning when Christina Bobb, a lawyer for Mr. Trump who was present during the search, was asked during an interview on the right-wing TV station Real America’s Voice about whether it was possible that federal agents could have planted evidence.
“There is no security that something wasn’t planted,” Ms. Bobb said before quickly admitting that she did not know if anything improper had occurred.
Huh? No one was present during the search except his lawyer Christina Bobb.
This might be one of the tricks he learned from his mentor Roy Cohn, who advised Mafia dons.

Uh, one must ask–how could Mr. Trump know this since he was not there? Did his minions film the FBI agents sprinkling cocaine over his rugs? Off loading boxes of files from their cars into the house and then “discovering them”?

If Trump was to say the world was round I would at least do the common courtesy of visiting a Flat Earth society site to exam the structure of their reasoning.

Trump always plays the victim. Our country is the victim of his atrocious administration. He has sucked more than enough oxygen and, I am sure a lot more than that, out of all of us. He needs to just go away. He should take ‘his basket of deplorables’ with him. He’s had his “fifteen minutes.” The Press should ignore his theatrics. That would probably bother him more than the FBI raid.

And I know, I know, Mr. President, that the nation is reassured that your firm (and very large) hand is guiding us through this.
As we’ve seen today, you have assembled the greatest minds in the country to deal with this problem that the Fake News keeps talking about, though these are only scientists, and your intuition is so much better than science, as you have wisely reminded us many times, Mr. President. And not to take away from anything others have said here today, I just wanted to say, Mr. President, that some have, though I’m sure they didn’t intend to, wasted valuable time talking about this disease that may or may not be an issue and hinting at some response that we might or might not take in the future if that’s appropriate when WHAT THE NATION REALLY WANTS TO HEAR IS HOW GREAT DONALD TRUMP IS AND WHAT A FANTASTIC JOB YOU’VE BEEN DOING.

Your steady and very large hand enabled us to put off having to do anything until this spread or may not have spread throughout the entire nation, which could be a challenge, of course, but isn’t that the point, Mr. President, that America has always been up to its challenges? With faith in God, and your guidance, Mr. President, how can we fail? And though we might have a little rough patch, all these business leaders behind me here, brought together by your wisdom, Mr. President, are going to do their very best to rise to the occasion, under your leadership, and to make as much money as they possibly can off this while delivering whatever is necessary to serve the interests of the richest Americans. So, that said, let me conclude by addressing what I’m sure is most on the mind of Americans throughout this land, on this fateful day, just HOW GREAT YOU ARE for getting way ahead of this thing early on by sending troops and other personnel without hazmat suits to escort people off that cruise ship, ones who could then go back to their bases and communities around the country and spread the virus, uh, the news about how expertly you contained this and nipped it in the bud as only you, in your genius, Mr. President, could have done. There seems to be a small contradiction. On the one hand there was no one to watch the FBI when they searched Trump’s place. On the other hand you say that Lawyer Christina Bobb was there.
If nothing else it is good to see that the Law applies to everyone.

Trump’ s psychologist niece has explained on CNN time and time again that Trump fits the diagnostic criteria as å sociopath. He has no principles, no conscience and is a pathological liar. In her view he is the most dangerous person in America. He only cares about himself, his power, his ego, his money and his perverted sense of gratification. He does not give a damn about our nation, our democracy or anyone in it. He does not give a damn about any of the conservative principles and never did.
The FBI was given a search warrant executed by a federal magistrate because there was clear and convincing evidence that a crime was being committed and the evidence was in Trump’s possession at his home in Mar-a-Lago. Just the fact that there were 12 boxes of documents which contained government property, some of which was probably highly classified, is clear evidence that a crime was committed by Trump. That is a federal crime which he intentionally committed. He knew it was illegal when he did it. He probably did it to cover up his misdeeds in office. Instead of turning them over to the national archives with the other 14 boxes as required, he knowingly hid them at Mar-a-Lago.
Time was of the essence for the FBI and DOJ to seek the warrant and execute the warrant immediately because they received information about where the boxes were hidden away. The FBI executes such warrants respectfully and does it in a manner which protects the accused in the event the evidence proves the suspect is innocent. Trump’s lawyer was present.
The January 6 committee has already presented to the American people clear and convincing evidence that Trump perpetrated, contrived and orchestrated several conspiracies to defraud the American people and overturn the most free and fair election that we ever had. His criminal acts are many.
I watched every witness presented by the January 6 committee and the first-hand testimony and documentary evidence is damning. Those witnesses were obviously honest and forthright and — ultimately credible
If the Department of Justice, and/or the authorities in Georgia and New York, do not prosecute him, they are saying to the American people that Donald Trump, a former disgraced president, who continues his Big Lie that he won the election, is above the law. Failure to prosecute Trump and his cronies and minions would be the Greatest Disgrace since the Vietnam war.
The miscreants and criminals who conspired with Donald Trump to perpetrate the insurrection and carry out the insurrection, and still do so today, should all be prosecuted, too.There are many republican officeholders and members of the Congress and the Senate who “are complicit” in the illegality of it all as well.
