This is a clever farewell to @realDonald Trump, banished for life from Twitter, at last!
As someone said on Twitter in response, how will people know that they have been fired if they can’t read it on Trump’s Twitter feed?
This is a clever farewell to @realDonald Trump, banished for life from Twitter, at last!
As someone said on Twitter in response, how will people know that they have been fired if they can’t read it on Trump’s Twitter feed?
Indeed, how will Trump know he’s been fired if he can’t read it on his Twitter feed?
Can he read?
Drumph …. the grandfather should have kept this last name.
Fits.
Watch trumsy’s next move.
Why will the right not simply start up their own wild west version of the web. They are surely deep enough in the pocket to create a place where Trump can tweet disrespect to his heart’s content. Will Google and other search engines have to share space with other platforms willing to make money off the spreading of trumpism? there is surely the market, and we know that the market cannot ever be wrong.
It’s interesting to me, Roy, to read the accounts you post about your Trumpy neighbors there in the Midwest. I am in Flor-uh-duh. Many of those loons here, too, but I am spared interactions with them by self-imposed Covid isolation.
Maybe you should write a book: Posts from the Loon-er Landscape.
Roy is from eastern Tennessee-the South, nowhere near the Midwest.
I stand corrected. The Midwest, as defined by the federal government, comprises the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
However, nowhere near the Midwest? I grew up in Indiana and thought of it as quintessentially Midwestern. And Kentucky and Tennessee, well, it wasn’t exactly falling down a rabbit hole or stepping through a portal to another world. Thus my confusion about that. But yes, Tennessee is the South. So are certain parts of Michigan it seems.
And some parts of Missouri are definitely the South. Did you know that Missouri was the state with the most Civil War Battles/skirmishes. No major one but lots of little back and forth battles.
They’re still saying the election results are fraudulent on Right wing media outlets.
They simply don’t care. They’re planning on repeating this lie forever. It isn’t surprising, really. None of them have admitted they lied to their supporters for three months. There were no consequences at all for any of them, outside Donald Trump.
One of the senators who lied about the election repeated the lie in a newspaper editorial today. They learned absolutely nothing.
Until they admit they lied nothing changes. We are in the same place today as we were the day they stormed the capital. The only difference will be Trump will be gone. The rest of them will continue to repeat the lie.
Speaking of GOP liars: From Truthout – Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia), a freshman congresswoman who frequently peddles false conspiracy theories tied to the QAnon movement, said she would be issuing impeachment articles herself next week against incoming President-elect Joe Biden.
Greene made the announcement while appearing on Newsmax on Wednesday night, hours after the impeachment vote against Trump. She did not indicate a specific charge she would be seeking to impeach Biden over, other than a generic statement of “abuse of power.”
“We have to make sure our leaders are held accountable, we cannot have a president of the United States who is willing to abuse the power of the office of the presidency,” Greene said on the program, arguing without evidence that Biden had been “bought off” by foreign governments and companies, in Ukraine as well as in China. end quote
People voted for this far right wing loon.
She has a list of Trump’s complaints about Biden, focused on Hunter and fake payoffs from China.
The only Republicans who voted for impeachment are the Republicans who didn’t lie to their supporters and constituents. They were able to vote for impeachment because they didn’t spread the lie, so didn’t have to retract it.
Which means none of the people who created this disaster has admitted they lied, or paid any price at all, and the lies will continue.
Removing Trump doesn’t fix anything. It leaves the vast majority of people who spread the lie still in place.
I guess Trump didn’t study history. Charlie Sheen melted down and they replaced him with Ashton Kutcher and the world moved on.
On an unrelated note (and because I’m unsure as to where else I would ask this), what do you know, if anything, about Panorama Education and its founder/CEO, Aaron Feuer? Our district just purchased their program, and the only information I can find seems to be in promotional literature. Thank you for any information you can provide.
MK,
I never heard of Panorama Education. I tend to be skeptical of all packaged programs like this one. I see by scanning the internet that it was launched by Chan Zuckerberg. Do more research.
Thank you! I appreciate your feedback!
We’ve administered their survey across a 20,000 student district. We surveyed all students and teachers and staff.
It reminded me of the Tripod Project surveys and some of James Comers’ work, too.
Climate and Culture. Professional Climate. School Safety.
It’s pretty basic stuff –
“I learn best when…”
“There is at least one adult in school who knows me well…”
“Students in my classes want to learn…”
“My teachers care about me…”
“Professional development in our school is relevant to what I want/need to learn”
“The central office understands our work”
“Teachers have a voice in what we teach”
… …
It’s pretty basic stuff – and useful. As with any survey, the comments are the most informative. As with any survey, you take it with grain or two of salt.
One charter supporting network has been using it across (naive volunteering) districts and charters with the not so hidden motive of showing that bona fide public schools are not as safe and don’t have equitable resources as their suburban schools.
In the right hands … teachers, school administrators and leaders… who are objective and can handle objective feedback… can benefit.
Thank you! I appreciate the information you provided. This was just sprung on us with no real background by which to judge its quality and efficacy.
What, MK? Adminimals springing crap on the staff without any prior input? Tell me it ain’t so!
Trump retorted that he’d be “building out our own platform in the near future. We will not be SILENCED!”
HA! … HA! … HA! … HA! … HA! … HA! … HA! … HA! … HA! … HA!
How many times has Trump failed with his businesses?
One thing we know for sure, Trump is a failure as an honest business person. The only way he can succeed is to be a conman, a fraud, a serial liar, a bully, and the biggest crook of them all. He even stole the presidency in 2016 with help from one of his criminal allies, Putin.
I think we’ve seen Trump’s list of business failures here before. I remember it was LONG.
Trump even failed when it came to finding supporters willing to risk everything to pull off a violent coup for him. The idiots that attacked Congress on January 6th were a violent, dumb, or dumber mob.
Try to find Trump Airlines, Trump steaks, Trump wines, or Trump University. That’s a start.
Hello – I’d like to ask your feedback on an educational bill for Massachusetts designed to limit EdTech, screen time, and the automation of schools. I have a very brief window for feedback since bills must be turned in sometime soon – well, the date has changed due to Covid19, so I’m not certain of the date: 1 Feb? I don’t know how to contact you. The bill is easy to find at Last Tree Laws online under MA Legislation – you just scroll down to 2021 bills Education and Tech, and it is the first one listed – this page: https://lasttreelaws.com/ma-legislation.

Rest in Peace
As the folks who were fleeced
and the palms that were greased
made at the very least
a metaphor . . . .
a national infection
of COVID yeast . . . .
Was a twit of a twitter-er
A devil come alive
An easy fast sell
all to let America
Go to Hell. . . .
Dumb Struck
Pence loved on Trump
more than even Ms. Graham.
Then Trump fired up goons,
who chanted they’d slay him.
Rudy helped Jabba
to incite the mayhem.
Then Jabba thanked Rudy
by saying, “Don’t pay him.”
But Cruz wins the prize.
AFTER Trump dissed Ted’s spouse,
still he Trumped up for Trump
an attack on OUR House.
Dance master Trump
taught his party to limbo.
No low was too low,
no sprawl too akimbo.
Altogether (and all together) now:
Dumb Struck, or What a Surprise!
