Broadway is dark.
But the music lives on.
This is the great song,“You Will Be Found,” from Dear Evan Hansen.
It’s sung by a huge virtual choir of young people.
Enjoy!

Beautiful and much needed. Thank you!
Magnificent. So, so lovely.
I taught high-school kids. They were sometimes pretty hard on themselves and on one another about their looks. I would glance out over a class, and to me they looked like a field of flowers.
Same is true of this video. Aren’t they just freaking beautiful!?!?!
Wow! Impressive.
How large was his computer monitor – big enough to cover an entire wall?
Wonderful song!
Best in the show.
I have been seeing more and more of these virtual concerts, choirs, dance etc….what belies this video is the amount of post production work that is necessary, never mind the need to access technology tools that one has to feel pretty confident in using and assembling.
Music teachers, in particular, are extremely worried about the coming months and feel under pressure to produce these videos, while struggling to maintain interest, participation – which is the togetherness that music offers – and how to get instruments to kids that don’t have them, particularly in low-income communities, all while hoping that the instruments don’t get wrecked and if the money will be there to replace them. In addition to having had to pivot their entire modus of instruction, there are few faculty that even at the HS level – in successful programs – they often deal with very large groups 50+. Additionally that which they rely on – live performances, and competitions – were all cancelled at a critical time of the year.
In the words of a great teacher: you can destroy a music program with the stroke of a pen on a budget. It takes years to rebuild it.
I cried.
Beautiful and healing.
This is brilliant! Amazing that it was put together in December 2017, long before anyone ever imagined that this kind of virtual choir singing would be a way that people confined to their homes could sing together.
Kudos, especially to whomever edited this — it is an incredible accomplishment in sound and video editing that must have taken a tremendous amount of time and effort.
