I will be speaking at New York University on March 25 at 12:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
The title: The Perils of School Choice and Standardized Testing
The place: Kimmel Center, 60 Washington Square South, Rosenthal Pavillion, 10th floor.
Parking is not easy in the area, but subways lines converge there.
This will be my only public lecture in New York City so I hope to say hello to you at NYU!

Dr. Ravitch developed, over the course of her life, not only wonderful writing ability but also the ability to highly informative, moving, engaging talks. She’s a gifted, captivating public speaker. Envious, here, of those who live close enough to go to this. Enjoy!

Dear Diane, I’ve read your informed argument to alert the public and to save Public Schools (Public Education is the backbone of Democracy – T.J.) day after day, for several yrs. You never loose commitment or energy. I will be 89 on March 21. and I live walking distance from the Supreme Court… so, I join ‘protests’ … whenever. So far – no ‘Protests’ against Charter Schools and how to save, restore … Public Schools … But you never tire of trying…
Your struggle is almost a ‘single-handed’ … publication … why don’t Teachers and Schools do their share…? Nevertheless, as our condition gets worse, I think you gain ground… since your Book was published… Meanwhile, the Buffoon still occupies the White House … and really, we can’t foretell what will happen in November 20/20 Wishing you well… if you are ever in DC… please send word.
