NBCT High School Teacher Stuart Egan writes here that public school enrollment in North Carolina has dropped to 81%,just as the Tea Party Republicans hoped. As public schools are starved of resources, growing numbers switch to religious schools, charter schools, virtual charters and Home schools.
Who has made this happen, in addition to the Tea Party?
“Consider the following national entities:
*Teach For America
*Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
*Walton Family Foundation
*Eli Broad Foundation
*KIPP Charter Schools
*Democrats For Educational Reform
*Educational Reform Now
*StudentsFirst
*America Succeeds
*50CAN
*American Legislative Exchange Council
*National Heritage Academies
*Charter School USA
*Team CFA
*American Federation for Children
“They are all at play in North Carolina, totally enabled by the powers-that-be in the NC General Assembly and their supportive organizations.”
Think of it: 81% of the students in the state attend public schools, but they don’t matter!
To make matters worse, all the alternatives are worse than a well-funded public school.
North Carolina’s education is slipping into a deep hole. It is funding failure.
Betsy DeVos can add another notch to her belt unless the citizens rise up to save their schools.
Reblogged this on caffeinated rage and commented:
As always, thanks to Dr. Ravitch for keeping North Carolina in the national spotlight.
Next up, Ohio.
Art Pope is another major bad actor in NC public education.
There are two ways citizens can rise up.
1st – Vote in the primaries to ensure a candidate that represents their best interests ends up on the final ballot.
2nd – Vote when election day comes and vote out the poisonous Deplorable Tea Party People (DTPP).
3rd – Buy firearms and ammunition and form militias that start training for the Civil War that will be inevitable if voters don’t start voting in the primaries. The Alt-Right has been forming militias for years getting ready for that Civil War. If the left and moderates don’t do anything, then they will not be ready when the Alt-Right’s militias strike.
“Opposition to the government
“While militia organizations have a variety of ideologies and objectives including anti-tax, anti-immigration, survivalist, sovereign citizen, libertarian, land rights and southern restoration tendencies, they generally share a common belief in the imminent or actual rise of a tyrannical government in the United States which, they believe, must be confronted through armed force.”
Antigovernment militia groups grew by more than one-third in last year
