Tomorrow, the teachers of Arizona Walk Out.
Here is a report from the front lines by Linda Lyon, president of the Arizona School Boards Association.
She says that the state is about to be hit by the perfect haboob. A mighty storm.

I’ve taught after-school programs in Arizona for many years and will be wearing my “RED4ED” tomorrow!
After reading the description presented by the Arizona teacher of the year, I wish them well. Voters need to know what is happening.
And voters need to know that they must demand CHANGE candidates when they vote: the status quo is getting them only what they have now.
Go AZ Public School Teachers! Hooray.
I know Arizona well as I have visited many times and worked on political campaigns there. My son went to a public university there and has taught there at a charter school (BASIS). It was not a felicitous experience. I myself would never have moved to Arizona or taught there because teacher salaries and job security are so low. Either they fix that or they will destroy, over time, the public school system in AZ, in my humble opinion. I wish the teachers good luck and more respect from the people of Arizona.
Teachers and supporters in RedForEd t-shirts lined Broadway Blvd in Tucson for several blocks yesterday during the evening rush hour, and the positive response from commuters was beautiful to see (and hear – beep-beep!).
