May he soon find himself up another creek …
without a paddle …
Oh, doesn’t he look oh so happy? Before too long, we could insert Governor Malloy of CT in that photo.
Sickening…wish Oprah and the other billionaires would donate enough of their huge wealth to American public schools. If each U.S. billionaire gave only 1 billion of their vast riches of multiple billions to our schools, they would still have enough for 1,000 years living high, and all of our schools would stay afloat.
We spend 640 billion dollars a year on education. I fear that the billionaires wealth would not have a substantial long term impact.
And here we have a soi-diant economist who never heard of leverage.
It sure has an impact when they leverage it against education.
Maybe it’s worth a shot trying to do something positive.

It’ll be a lovely start . . . .
Even dictators need a vacation!
Yes, the problem is — they come back …
So sad that it is flies in the face of his largest constituency. I hope they vote him out as soon as possible.
Speaking of PA…The most AMAZING Rally is scheduled for Philadelphia Public Schools tomorrow Monday 8-12…A gathering of parents, community, students and public school activists…Just look at the long list of faith-based groups rallying around a neighborhood public schools! It will be amazing…and will also be available on LiveStream…I am sure it is organized after the Moral Monday Protests in NC that brought out thousands. This has exactly the same potential…. . Parent groups are not asking for just $50 million in funding, like Supt. Dr. Hite did…they are asking for $500 million to get the city schools out of debt…debt caused by a decade of underfunding, reform corruption and mis management. This, will be something!

I wish that these people could get the $500 million dollars that they need and then chase out the “leaders” who allowed this crisis to happen in the first place! Good luck, Philadelphia public school supporters!
In this photo op, I see a tranquil, bucolic day on the river or lake and one getting in touch with the miracles of nature. Bestill he beauties and mysteries of our natural waters . . . . .
And as I see this one lone man, a mere mortal peacefully paddling his way into the oblivion of a sunset on still waves, I also hear the theme from “JAWS” pounding inside my head . . . .
Ah, to get lost in the cinematography of the imagination . . . .
