I don’t know how to import photos to the blog. Maybe someone will tell me how. So I took her picture, emailed it to Twitter, and copied the link.
Here is Mitzi, the new member of the family. http://t.co/5iGB0oJEUh—

She is beautiful!!!
She is adorable! Perhaps you need some distraction from the battlefields of education about now, yes?I always think clearer when walking a dog. Gives me purpose that seems so organic as opposed to thenonsense of the real world. All that stuff can wait. First things first. Kudos for following your intuitions. My daughter just adopted a puppy, too. Gives her a reason to get out there, face the world with graceand calm and defy the political forces of evil. Perhaps life is more simple than we make it to be. Enjoyevery moment walking with nature…a creature that depends on you and loves you unconditionally. What’s not to love about that? Joy to you and Mitzi!

adorable! lucky you! and lucky Mitzi! 🙂
Diane, I just left instructions for you on how to import pictures in WordPress on the “I Can’t Live Without…” page.
She’s gorgeous!
A beautiful dog. Btw, my first dog when I was little was a German shepherd named Mitzi. We were inseparable and I still remember how much I loved her some 45 plus years later.
She looks so sweet! I’m glad you saved her. Thanks for sharing!
Enjoy!
Congratulations on your beautiful rescue, the only day you’ll regret is the one she isn’t with you. They are the most wonderful creatures! She’ll open your heart further….
She is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
She is lovely. Thanks for saving her. But where is the cat’s photo?
Dandy (Dandlion) next.
Life is always better when lived with a dog.
Diane,
I posted directions on how to import pictures into a blog on my school district’s teacher webpage. We both use WordPress so, hopefully, they should be easy to follow. You can see my rescue dog too!

Thank you!
Terrific instructions, Mary –and great example of how a picture is worth 1000 words!
Diane, the main difference between Mary’s instructions and the ones I left on your, “I Cannot Live Without” page is that I included info about how to add the photos to your Media Library in WordPress first, so that you could store the photos there, edit them and easily access them if you want to use them again.
thank you!
She is adorable!!! Enjoy.
Not a dog person!

She looks so sweet. I always loved dogs, but for a long time, we just had cats. Now we have 2 Greyhounds, and I can’t imagine life without them. After a rough day, or even a regular day, it is so nice to come home to “wiggle butts.” Pets do make life worth living, and they are amazing stress relief. Thanks for sharing something of yourself.
more precious than life!
Ms. Ravitch:
That was very clever of you, to send the image to Twitter! I understand now: You wanted to upload a photo, not embed the “tweet” itself. Since you didn’t know how to upload the photo, you thought of a work around. You would probably enjoy web development and programming.
I’m happy that you and Mitzi found each other. I hope to have a nice dog to be my friend too, one day soon. Let’s see if this works:
