   Wouldn’t it be nice if we could utilize the Freedom of Information Act for the true powers behind school reform such as the National Governors Association, Chief Council of State School Officers and Achieve? Conveniently, they skirt this access to the public because they are PRIVATE organizations- unelected and unaccountable.

   Big$$ vultures have circled above our schools for years now. To syphon off the $$ that public schools earned, they had to control the teachers, kids, parents, communities and foreign investors. They are always circling above us to swoop in and fatten their wallets. The only ones benefitting are Big$$. This has never been about kids. George W., the poster child of ‘C’ students, didn’t mean any of NCLB. but, many people in politics and business fell for it. Obama did! He did not deserve teachers’ vote. They must think we are stupid. They have convinced themselves and boldly move forward. We cannot look away one second. Must shine giant floodlights on their practices and do what’s right for our kids.

   The interesting part for those of us in Oklahoma is that Supt Baressi left out emails from the FOI request. This should be a violation of the law. It was certainly NOT accidental. The emails were found because they had been CC’d to others in Louisiana and Rhode Island. Interesting how Baressi is constantly pushing for new laws for so called transparency, but when it comes to her office the curtains get pulled rather quickly.
