Those of us fighting for social context reforms are astonished by not only the corporate reformers’ lack of knowledge on pedagogy, but on historical questions as well. Taylorism and all their other “solutions” have been tried and discredited again and again. It would be easy to say why don’t these privatizers just listen to the educators, you know, the ones who know what works? But there’s no profit in that.
