In looking around, trying to learn more about Sharyn Alfonsi, I came across a commencement address she delivered at the journalism school at the University of Mississippi. It is hilarious!
She offers an abundance of wit, mingled with great career advice for aspiring journalists.
You get insight into the character of the “60 Minutes” reporter who spoke out and stood up to her bosses when they censored her reporting about CECOT, the terrorist prison in El Salvador.
As Dan Rather said, Sharyn Alfonsi is “One Courageous Correspondent.”

Really good.Thanks.Martha TureSent from my iPhone via electronic vibes.

Sharyn Alfonsi described as “equine.” What a rude comment to send to a young, aspiring journalist! It’s almost as rude as calling a female reporter “piggy.” Luckily, Alfonsi ran her race and didn’t listen to the naysayers.

Sharyn Alfonsi is a partisan left-wing hack, not an ethical journalist. Naturally, former scholar Diane Ravitch thinks she is wonderful.

Bet Shinaro (career troll) is a partisan right wing hack, not an ethical commentator. Naturally, scholar and intellectual, Diane Ravitch sees right through him and his juvenile obfuscations and bogus ruminations.

The fact that all the major news outlets in the United States continue to say, in passing, that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide in his cell says everything you need to know about the quality of journalism in the country at present. It is at an all-time low.

Two guards were assigned to watch Epstein. Neither noticed that he was committing suicide.

This is from WIRED magazine, a tech publication:
“In July, the DOJ released what it described as “full raw” surveillance footage from the prison camera that was operational. As WIRED first reported, metadata indicated that the footage had instead been modified. Further WIRED analysis revealed that the video was in fact two clips that had been stitched together, cutting out nearly three minutes of footage in the process.”
