Thousands of people turned out to participate in the #NoKings March, which started at Grand Army Plaza and ended at the southern end of Prospect Park. We were surrounded by people carrying signs and chanting “Hey hey hi ho/Donald Trump has got to go.” Many signs were very clever. I couldn’t photograph them all.
I liked the little girl who had a sign that said, “I should be worried about tests/Not my rights.”

Many people here believe in a two state solution to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Although we may have different opinions about how that should be accomplished, I cannot recall ever seeing support on this blog for terrorists such as Hamas. I saw nothing about that going on at No Kings marches either, so your comment below is way off base. It is typical of MAGAt trolls that come here to trash us though. And it really makes no sense since a number of people here are Jewish, including the host and me (and I lived in Israel). So quite frankly, you look like an ignorant fool when you accuse Jews of supporting Hamas.

A flashy wannabe king, with a palace ensconced in gold, like what the malignant narcissist has been turning the White HOUSE into… –which is so gaudy and over stated now that it looks more like Saddam Hussein’s palace than the palaces of King Charles (but minus the throne room –so far). Trump is so into being showy that he has no sense of decorum or modesty whatsoever in ANY aspect of his life.

One sign I saw at a No Kings march said “America’s Only King” under a picture of Elvis. That’s inaccurate though because we also had a “King of Pop” –and he really did have a throne!
When people become that full of themselves, they know no boundaries, so we should not be surprised if a throne suddenly appears at the White Palace in DC…

We had 10K+ in Santa Ana, CA. Peaceful, with a wide variety of ages and ethnicities! It was wonderful to see children with their parents and grandparents. All ages and all races represented. There were so many 20 somethings, all showing how much they care about our country. I was heartened and inspired. I don’t know about you, but I needed this kind of day. I needed it to show me there is hope.

Thousands turned out for our patriotic day of peaceful protest against tyranny here in Connecticut. Saw so many great signs – my fave: “Big Beautiful Bill should be the name of his cell mate!”

We had a great turnout here in upstate Delaware County, New York. Someone with a good eye for crowd counts put it at 750 people, which is a lot of energy for our sleepy Courthouse Square in Delhi.
It was a jubilant crowd carrying messages of mostly peace, hope and lots of humor. People were singing and dancing. You’d think WE had won the election last November.
Meanwhile, so many of the MAGA folks I know are still all screwed up with hate and anger. They’re freakin’ miserable.
Only one counter-protester showed up at the rally. It was when most of us had already left the courthouse lawn. He was wrapped like a baby in one of those cheap, gimcracky MAGA flags, screaming and yelling nonsense and profanity at those of us still there. I didn’t know if it was him talking or Jack Daniels? He tottered and raged, shouting at demons only he could see. I wondered if we should call the police but then he disappeared into the village.
It was as if Donald Trump himself had arrived alone on scene. Or someone from Salem circa 1692 searching for witches to burn. For a few minutes, a dark cloud blew though us; a cold wind that called to mind the worst that humans are capable of -in the past and still now.
What comes NEXT when this screaming guy’s sort of mania is multiplied by millions of our fellow citizens and given access to most the levers of government including nuclear launch codes?
I’m not a religious person at all but God help the United States of America and this planet we live upon. Let’s hope the positive energy yesterday spreads and spreads quickly.

The far Left of the Democratic party – the American version of loony Left – held get-togethers yesterday to show off their self-perceived moral superiority. Many of them expressed support for Hamas. Yawn.

I marched with thousands of people in Brooklyn. Their signs expressed a love for America, democracy and the rule of law. I saw no signs supporting Hamas.

Bill, Although we didn’t all see them, there were bound to be some signs in support of Hamas since so many protesting college students across America have shown support for the Palestinian cause, and Palestinians do have a right to live in that region too. Plus people were protesting Trump. –who wants to build a Trump Mediterranean in Gaza, and Trump’s friend, Netanyahu, went way overboard in his attacks on Gaza. However, as an expert on human development, I can tell you with confidence that if any pregnant mom with a 3rd trimester fetus marched at NoKings, that child had no idea where they were, why they were there or what irony even is.

There were really HUGE turnouts at the NoKings marches yesterday –about 250,000 in “war torn” Chicago alone and 7 million protesters across the country, I read!
And there were many really great signs as well –too numerous to mention. I think the best characterization in response to the video that the pseudo-king released of himself flying a jet and bombing protesters with excrement is the sign that said, “CLEAN UP ON AISLE 47”
