Starting today, with the sole exception of the 9 a.m. post about censorship, there will be no more posts on Saturday or Sunday. I meant to write and say, NONE! But I could not resist the story about cartoonist Art Spiegelman.
If there is breaking news, I will post it.
Otherwise, enjoy your weekend.

Enjoy your weekend, too, Diane. (I won’t mention you’ve made promises like this one before.) đŸ˜‰

I understand why she can’t always resist posting something on days she says she’s going to take off.
We have to do what we have to do or we can’t sleep.

“Dirty Dancing” was filmed in North Carolina, pretending to be the Catskills in NY.
The producer is one of my best friends.

Thank you for not spilling the beans.
I’m at my 65th college reunion. A bit damp, as you know a Nor’Easter passed through.
But always inspiring to return to Wellesley.
It is the essence of DEI. So diverse, so devoted to equity, so inclusive. The young junior-year student who helped me to my room with my bag is from Rwanda. She is so thrilled to be studying here. She wants to be a doctor and return one day to Rwanda to help others.

At least it’s warmer today, and the sun keeps peeking through! Enjoy your reunion with all those amazing women.

They are amazing. My dear friend and classmate Linda Gottlieb led a showing of “Dirty Dancing,” which she produced. She gave us lots of inside stories. It was turned down by every studio. It was filmed in North Carolina, not the Catskills. Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze did not like one another. The music was amazing. The dancing was amazing. What a film, now in the Smithsonian collection.

Yes, Diane really does deserve to take a break and her 65th college reunion is a fine excuse for doing that, but I’m still very glad to see her replies to comments here!
