Stephen Colbert is a very funny guy. In his deadpan style, he cracks some good jokes about the conviction of Trump on 34 counts. Trump’s blaming the outcome on Joe Biden, but the decision to convict him was made by a dozen jurors, a jury of his peers. All the jurors were approved by Trump’s legal team.

One wag in the comments section of the NYT yesterday suggested Trump be sentenced to 30 days incarceration – between November 15 and December 15, because no matter how the election turns out he won’t be otherwise occupied at that time.
That was a series of laughs that have been absent from my behavioral repertoire for countless days .
Unfortunately , and how often is that word synonymous with Donald Trump , his acolytes will genuflect even to the point of scrapped and bloody knees , shouting inflammatory verbiage of a possible fanatical and deadly nature .
