That was posted by mistake. It will appear in a few days more.
Returning the United States to 1923 means living through the Great Depression again where unemployment reached as high as 25%, almost half of the country lived in poverty, children and women were still chattel, and women had not gained the right to vote. Parents could sell their children as young as seven into servitude, the same as slavery until they came of age, working in factories, coal mines (even though not many coal mines are left, I’m sure this century’s Robber Barron billiaonres would find something just as dangerous), prostitution as young as seven, and there was no federal income tax, and so much more.
All the gains made by women, minorities, children, and the working class in that century gone. That also means we’d be fighting another world war, the third one, that might kill billions instead of 50 million or so and throw what’s left of humanity back thousands of years, back to living in caves.
Reported by the Washington Post:
“The Republican governor’s campaign wanted weapons banned from his victory celebration at the city-run Tampa Convention Center, a city official said in emails obtained by The Washington Post. And the campaign suggested that the city take responsibility for the firearms ban, the official said — not the governor, who has been a vocal supporter of gun rights.”
“DeSantis/his campaign will not tell their attendees they are not permitted to carry because of the political optics,’ Chase Finch, the convention center’s safety and security manager, said in an Oct. 28 email to other city officials about the request.””
// End quotes
From the guy who is trying to bolster support with his gun toting base by loosening gun laws in Florida with permit less carry.
DeSantis is fine with permitless carry as long as his supporters don’t carry their guns at HIS events.
Ha ha ha.
