It did give me a big smile, and it was really needed given the attacks on public education I am reading daily, and James Hansen’s summary on planetary warming in 2022 that shows, as usual, the planet warmed up a bit more the past year. Thanks for posting this, Dr. Ravitch. BTW, I expected Budd to be a golden retriever, always perfect canine casting in a video or movie.
Cute, well-trained, non-barking dog, but the video could have sent a message to the many irresponsible dog owners by including a scene of this owner cleaning up after his dog, and not using someone else’s front lawn.
Mamie, my dog can’t drive. Neither can my cat. I love them both dearly. I walk Mitzi the dog three times a day. Dandy sits on my lap or lies next to me as he is right now.
Cats have far too much dignity and self respect to be caught in such a cheap stunt! Plus they couldn’t be bothered considering, you know, their superiority and all that. 😹
In most cases, yes–including my own past as a dog owner. However, many dog lovers seem total unaware–or choose to ignore– the not uncommon results of others’ irresponsible, law-breaking and unprosecuted dog ownership.
From unenforced leash, license and vaccination laws, non-stop barking, and dog poop in parks, to innumerable dog bites and child deaths– including the small pack of free roaming, owned dogs that killed a 4 year old a few miles away from where I am writing– these are problems largely ignored.
And, backyard breeding continues…but at least they’re not puppy mills!
I agree. I hate when dogs are abused. I think of the loving home my dog lives in. Yes, she is ultra spoiled but when I do not feel good, like right now having COVID, she lays right next to me. Loved dogs become loving dogs. My Maple loves to greet everyone and for children to play with her. On the other hand, people who abuse dogs should be punished severely.
I am am unabashed dog lover. They are the only creatures who love you unconditionally. Some years ago, I adopted a five year old dog who had been through several owners, some abusive. It took a year for her to trust me, but she turned out to a wonderful, loving dog.
My Maple was also adopted from a shelter. I was lucky and got her as a puppy 5 years ago. We adopted an older dog 25years ago who was severely abused. He was also wonderful but it took time. We had Kosmo for 5 years. Unfortunately the abuse caused many health issues and we had him for only five years, but he was greatly loved, especially by my boys when they were kids. Unfortunately, he never got completely over food aggression. All my other dogs allowed and loved when we fed them from the bowl because they never had that type of abuse. Where abuse will scare many kids for life, the same goes with dogs.

Have you seen any footage from Idiot rallies? Those critters don’t even need any love in return for their devotion. In fact, the worse he treats them, the more they love him. Betcha can’t do that with your dog.
Love it! Go Budd!
Wonder how much Budd’s driving insurance costs?
Pretty soon there will undoubtedly be lots of dogs driving cars (particularly Teslas)
And probably lots of dogs being charged with dogslaughter for running over kids.

Where does a dog convicted for dogslaughter serve its sentence?

Well, he may not be able to drive but he does have his own talents!! 🙂

That’s got to be fake. There is no way that cat could stay do steady.for do long.
I don’t doubt that cats can stand, just that they video is real.
Be sure to click on the two choir boys video at the end of “Standing Cat” video.

My dog is not a Trumper. She’s way smarter.
“… the worse he treats them, the more they love him.”
Are you talking about dogs or trumpers?
Mark, referring to members of the Idiot’s cult. Rational beings like dogs would not suffer such a cruel fool.
Which, I must conclude, makes them smarter than at least 45%, perhaps a small majority, of Americans.
