They never give up, despite their many losses and their lack of any evidence of fraud. Are these billable hours? There must be a reason they ignore their humiliating setbacks and soldier on. Trump continues to insist that he won the election, on Twitter and in a FOX interview. Allies of President Donald Trump want a federal court in Michigan to force state leaders to set aside election results and award its 16 electoral votes to the president.
A separate conservative group also wants the Michigan Supreme Court to invalidate the results that show President-elect Joe Biden won the state.
The latest lawsuit, filed in the Eastern District of Michigan and before the state’s highest court, rely on unfounded allegations of widespread fraud and misconduct that judges in the state and across the country have previously rejected. Neither has a high likelihood of success.
There is no evidence of mass fraud or wrongdoing that affected election operations in Michigan or elsewhere. Biden earned roughly 154,000 more votes than Trump in Michigan.

I do not remember where I read this OpEd, but the writer said Trump is doing this to keep his easily manipulated dumb base donating money to the Trump Campaign for legal costs, and most of that money ends up being laundered by Trump loyalists working in his administration or crooks Trump has done business with before.
Trump has a long history of never missing a chance to legally/illegally steal money from fools.
In 2016, he ran for president never expecting to win. He only did it for PR reasons to boost the value of the Trump name so he could charge more money for it when someone wanted Trump as part of the name of their building/hotel.
Trump is no stranger to taking chances with long shot opportunities that often end up in court because he cheated someone. Before becoming president, Trump won more of those court cases than he lost.
But, since he has been president, he is losing most of the cases that have ended up in court due to his illegal, fascist actions as Putin Jr.
Trump can’t change the election. What’s done is done and can’t be undone. Trump needs to give it up. 😐

Another Trump tell is “people call me, they say. . . .” Another is tacking “OK?” or “Right?” onto the end of a statement. With the generic “they” Trump attributes some whopper to some vague group of someones.
Another characteristic of his Toddler English that just kills me is when he says something blindingly obvious or extremely well known that he just happened to learn at the age of 74 and prefaces it with, “Most people don’t know this, but. . . .” Most people don’t know this, but you can actually see stealth planes.
How can anyone have listened to this loon in his Coronavirus briefings or in his recent interviews and not see that he is totally unhinged, divorced from reality? I don’t get it.

I’m a MIchigander and I voted against Trump twice! The Republican Party in Michigan knows it is deep trouble. After the 2016 election a coalition of the State Democratic Party, the Michigan Education Association, the Michigan Federation of Teachers, the UAW, ASSME, the League of Women Voters, joined together under the banner of People Not Politicians and we circulated petitions to change the Michigan Constitution from one that worked to suppress the vote of young, black, urban, college age, and minority voters into one of the easiest state to register and vote in in the nation. We now have automatic registration when you get a state ID, Drivers License, or change your address on your driver’s license, We have registration and voting up to 8 PM when the polls close at our local Clerk’s Offices, we have no excuse absentee ballot voting, we have early voting sites. As a result we had the largest turnout in Michigan’s History, especially in Detroit [which is 78% minority], in the cities were our great universities are located, and in our suburban areas.
For 40+ years the GOP has controlled the drawing of the lines that determine election districts. In 2018 we also passed an Amendment to the Constitution of Michigan that turned the creation of the new election districts that will happen after the 2020 census over to a non-partisan Redistricting Commission, with the State Supreme Court settling and disputes and with the State Legislature and Executive Branch having no say were the lines will run. Michigan has been a majority Democratic state for the last 40 years but the Republicans controlled the Legislature for the whole time.
The rule of the corrupt, DeVos controlled, Republican Party is over in Michigan. Betsy will no longer be able to boast the “In Michigan we have the best elections money can buy.”
If Michigan’s votes are thrown out with the approval of the current Michigan Republican Party it could very well destroy the electability of Republicans in Michigan for a generation or more.

Here are the fundamental things that someone like Trump gets wrong when he does his public performances of “patriotism,” hugging the flag and what not. We in the United States have these ideals lying around, but
those are are not unique to us, and
they are not about what we were or are, emphatically not. They are about what we might be.
Trump, if he knew any history or current affairs or other peoples, at all, would know these things, but he’s an idiot, in the etymological sense of the word, from the Greek idios, meaning “one’s own” and referring to someone who can’t see beyond his own nose.
The only backs ever stabbed in Trump’s presence were those he stabbed himself.
