in a startling interview with FOX Business News, Trump expressed his unhappiness with some of his most loyal allies.
He insisted that Attorney General William Barr should indict former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden for “the crime of the century,” meaning his suspicion that his campaign was bugged. He won the election, so it’s hard to know why he’s still complaining about the 2016 election.
“Unless Bill Barr indicts these people for crimes — the greatest political crime in the history of our country — then we’re going to get little satisfaction, unless I win,” Trump said, adding that he “won’t forget it” and that the crime “includes Obama, and that includes Biden.”
Trump also demanded that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo release all of Hillary Clinton’s emails. Why? The election is over. This may have been his most unhinged interview. Was it the drugs?
Late this afternoon, House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi said she would create a special committee to consider using the 25th amendment, which is a route to remove an incapacitated President. Since it requires a majority vote by the Cabinet, this does not appear to be a reasonable course.
That’s our job. The American people must remove him on November 3.

If you watch that interview, you will see that he goes beyond his usual tendency to rant and cut people off. He’s talking to an extremely sympathetic, toadying interviewer, but he behaves in precisely the same way that he did during the so-called “debate” with Joe Biden–he talks over her for the entire thing. He cannot control himself at all. By the end of it, he is actually screaming, “What’s he waiting for?”
Nuts. Totally nuts.
But this raises a question. Was Trump already in this state, brought on by his own psychosis in combination with taking steroid drugs, at the time of the first debate with Biden? Did he participate in that debate knowing that he had tested positive for the virus?
This is seeming more and more likely.

Eddie is right. Trump’s Regeneron drug was developed from stem cells garnered from aborted fetuses.
The antibody cocktail for Covid-19 that President Trump touted on Wednesday afternoon was developed with cells originally derived from fetal tissue, a practice that his administration has moved to restrict.
In June 2019, the Trump administration suspended federal funding for most new scientific research involving fetal tissue derived from abortions.
“Promoting the dignity of human life from conception to natural death is one of the very top priorities of President Trump’s administration,” the Department of Health and Human Services said in a statement in 2019, around the time of the ban.
“Intramural research that requires new acquisition of fetal tissue from elective abortions will not be conducted,” the statement added.
Mr. Trump last week received Regeneron’s cocktail of monoclonal antibodies — essentially, antibodies synthesized in living cells and administered to help the body fight off the infection.
To develop the antibodies, Regeneron relied on 293T, a cell line derived from the kidney tissue of an aborted fetus in the 1970s. At least two companies racing to produce vaccines against the coronavirus, Moderna and AstraZeneca, also are using the cell line.
Remdesivir, an antiviral drug Mr. Trump received, also was testedusing these cells.
“293Ts were used in testing the antibodies’ ability to neutralize the virus,” said Alexandra Bowie, a spokeswoman for Regeneron. “They weren’t used in any other way, and fetal tissue was not used in the research.”
In a video released Wednesday, Mr. Trump praised Regeneron’s treatment, calling it a “cure” for Covid-19 and promising to provide it free to any patient who needed it. The company said on Wednesday that it had applied to the Food and Drug Administration for emergency use authorization.
Scientists noted that the trials of the antibody cocktail are far from complete, and that Mr. Trump is taking a variety of drugs that may have explained why he said he felt better.

This is a half truth at best and doesn’t serve any other purpose than to sell newspapers. The “cell line” was derived from cells from a kidney of an aborted fetus from the 1970’s. Cloning and lab manipulation of these cells over the years has diluted any original cells. This is grasping at straws.

Should a committed pro-lifer not refuse medication that is the result of research on fetal tissue, derived from abortions? What difference does it make when the cell line was initiated? I know that many if not all pro-lifers object to such research. The logical extension of that position would be to refuse all medications that are derived from such research, wouldn’t it? At first, my reaction was yo ask why they should get the vaccine, but, really, it is a benefit to all of us if they do get vaccinated, so I probably should get off my high horse and shut up.

Diane….Because it is a nuance now. The “cell lines” are so far removed from any actual fetal tissue that it isn’t considered stem cell. Lab cloning and DNA sequencing have come a long way and there really is little need for more fetal tissue. Putting this out there and stirring up a big nothing burger just creates a problem for Regeneron to produce this to help Covid 19 patients.

The bigger issue that isn’t being talked about is that Crede Bailey was admitted to the hospital yesterday in grave condition from Covid 19. Crede Bailey works closely with WH administration and SS doing clearance…..in the WH! Is he receiving the same treatments that dear leader received? Are his whereabouts being contact traced? Why did the media release and then take down the information? Was Bailey at the Rose Garden event while ill with Covid? Trump got it from someone….inquiring minds would like to know.

Meanwhile, as we deal with this literally insane, science-denying moron in the Whiter House, a new study shows that global warming causes cloud loss, which increases warming–a missing additional factor, in addition to the greenhouse effect, that can push (and has pushed, during the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum about 55.5 million years ago) warming over a sudden cliff and add another 8 degrees Celsius (thats 46.4 degrees Fahrenheit) to the already increased global average temperature.

I am not surprised. Trump is a mad dog frothing that thinks he has been backed into a corner, and in his panic, he is frothing at the mouth. He is also imagining what is going to happen once he is out of the White House. His only escape from what is coming was to become president for the rest of his life and turn the United States into a dictatorship. It is all about him.
As we near November 3rd, Trump is going to become more deranged and desperate.
He is so dumb that he probably doesn’t know that his presidency doesn’t end until January 20, 2021. He probably thinks his scam to take over ends on November 3rd, and that the many powerful enemies he has made since becoming president are all going to come for him and destroy his flimsy house of cards.
Not counting the host of lawsuits waiting for him not to be president so they can go to court, there is a loan worth hundreds of millions of dollars coming due in a couple of years. I have read that Trump will lose Trump Tower in New York that was put up as collateral.
Another reason for these insane tweets is to send a message to the white supremacist militants that are his most loyal supporters hoping they will get rid of Biden, Obama, and Hillary for him and support the Civil War he wants to keep him in power.
There might be other Trump properties that were also put up as collateral, like some of his golf courses, maybe even Mar-a-Logo in Florida.
If Trump doesn’t die in the next four to five weeks from complications due to his treatment for COVID-19, his life sitting on gold toilets may be over forever with poverty and prison time staring him in the face.

The President is under unusual stress at the moment. He has the coronavirus; the polls are not favorable to him; and a three-judge panel of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals has just rejected his attempt to quash the subpoena, issued by a NY grand jury, seeking his tax returns and other financial documents (the President had argued that the subpoena was overbroad and issued in bad faith).
Despite his illness, Trump has declared that he’s feeling better than he did 20 years ago. His Covid diagnosis, he says, was a blessing from God. He is troubled by the attempted “coup” against him and demands to know why his political enemies have not been jailed.
The President’s behavior is concerning. I hope he is receiving all the care he needs and that he is being screened as needed by a psychiatrist and a geriatrician.

I read a great analysis of how Trump evolved to be the monster, ALL CAPS demagogue he is.
It’s simple, really. The guy reflected and focused the monstrous tendencies of millions of our fellow citizens. Then he packaged that evil like an seedy infomercial and spewed it out like virus spores into the world, amplified and given the imprimatur of our own government.
Trump would go to rallies and when something he said got cheers, he’d use it again…and again. And, his followers would then echo it back, louder and louder.
It’s a vicious cycle of vicious people.
FAIR DISCLOSURE: I also know some very decent humans who still support Trump. I don’t get it. And, I probably won’t until the day I die. Of all the bad things I’ve had happen in my life (and crap happens to all of us, of course), it’s one of the worst. I mean it. People I care about have disappointed me….so deeply.
Trump will eventually be gone, one way or another. But what about the millions of our fellow citizens who looked the other way or stood by passively or went whole hog, reveling in Trump’s embrace of hatred and division?
If Trump still had an approval rating of 10% right now I’d be worried for the United States.
I know, I know, I know….part of this is just human nature….the Milgram experiment and obedience to authority and the banality of modern evil etc… etc… There will always be creepy people out there. But it still hurts.

I have no problem taking medicine when my family physician down the road tells me to, Hell, I’ve tried to volunteer for a vaccine trial and am still waiting for another call back. I hope whatever pharmaceuticals Trump gobbled down can eventually help lots of regular people survive COVID.
But Trump’s sucking in an untested cocktail of super potent drugs was just plain dangerous. Just like so many other things he has embraced.
But he’s embraced the worst parts of us -what already existed back on December 31, 2019, back when this crazy year was looming around the corner, just waiting for us.
My one real hope is that our children will save us. The students who are entrusting me with their lives in our “deep cleaned” classroom, whatever the hell that really means. Those kids’ goodwill and common sense and lack of patience for decrepit, nasty old geezers like Trump and Mitch McConnell etc… will save the day.

I often think that people who voted for Trump and will vote for him again need two check their personal moral and ethical standards. In my view those that claim to be Christian with Christian values have lost the true meaning of what Christianity is all about. They need to check their moral and ethical standards. I do not believe they are the standards that Jesus was to have professed.

I had one acquaintance tell me that she is being forced to vote for Trump because the other side wants “Socialism”. She thinks Trump is vile, but he won’t allow that “socialism” thing to happen. This coming from a person who loves “the perks” of socialism…..social security, pensions, health care etc. I had to walk away from that one!

Linda: I agree with John. People close to me are supporting Trump. They are wonderful people who do not see him as a raving lunatic. Like John, I do not understand their support of him, except that they see their world threatened by the changes that are in the atmosphere. This makes them give in to the fears stoked by the right. These fears revolve around the idea that dark forces are trying to take away their religion. Logic is of no use when the fear is there.
For every Trump supporter who is a white supremacist, there is an army of people who have been taught by the media to fear. That is where his support comes from. FDR is correct, the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Fear catapulted Hitler into power. Fear created the paranoia that was Stalin. Fear lets people fail to spot those false equivalencies that come down the Facebook Pike to keep the sheep in the Fold. Let us hope enough people have the courage to make it out of the mist, and into the light of understanding.
