Call on Congress and Governors to supply the funding to reopen our schools safely!
Don’t open schools where the pandemic is raging.
Protect the lives of students and staff!

I have been calling.
I also asked them to please ignore any advice from Donald Trump or anyone Donald Trump has hired, because they don’t know what they’re talking about and will harm public schools and public school students- the schools and students they don’t value and treat so recklessly and cavalierly.
If they can’t offer any assistance to public schools and students, and it seems they can’t since they haven’t and it is JULY, can they at the very least stop harming our students? Just stop working completely. Go golfing. Go sailing. Do whatever it is they’ve been doing for the last six months while this got worse and worse.
We’ll still give them a paycheck, they just have to promise not to show up for work.
Send public schools the money and we’ll take it from here. Please stop “helping” us.
I watched part of the Trump Administration political stunt on public schools.
Once again I was struck by how these adults go along with Donald Trump’s demand that they all bow and scrape and tell him how great he is at the opening of the meeting.
It’s appalling. I don’t know why none of these people have any self respect but it is horrifying to watch them debase themselves. For goodness sakes – find a spine. No one wants to watch that.
They humiliate themselves and they abandon self respect and their reputations.
I’m interested in this subject, for obvious reasons, but I simply couldn’t watch this grovel fest. Sickening.
Wouldn’t you love to have a nice home supply of N95 masks? Wouldn’t you love for every teacher, administrator, staff member, and student in our schools, a month from now, to have one?
So, a question: where is the magical market response that is supposed to meet such demands?
Ideology relieves the believer of any need to think. And so it works for people like Trump who can’t think. Should the government ensure that mask production capacity be ramped up sufficiently to supply everyone in a school with a supply of N95 respirator masks? Or should we wait around for a market response? Trump and his ilk don’t have to ask such questions. They don’t have to think. They don’t think. They don’t freaking think.
Exactly right, Bob. Good questions.
