Politico Playbook regularly posts the president’s schedule for the coming week.
This week leaves him plenty of time to watch FOX News, Tweet, and maybe play a few rounds of golf.
THE PRESIDENT’S WEEK AHEAD: TUESDAY: The president will hold a Cabinet meeting and have lunch with VP Mike Pence. WEDNESDAY: Trump will visit the Apple manufacturing plant in Austin. THURSDAY: Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will present the National Medal of Arts and the National Humanities Medal. “If I’m elected president, I’m accepting no salary.”
[He’s being paid too much.]
Breitbart ‘news’ Nov. 13, 2016:
“I’m not taking it,” he said.
He added that he would not be taking too many vacations either.
“There’s so much work to be done and I want to get it done for the people,” he said. “I want to get it done. We’re lowering taxes, we’re taking care of health care.”
Trump signaled that he wanted to bring the people together, urging both the protesters and his supporters to stop abusing each other.
“I think I have to take by law one dollar so I’ll take one dollar a year.”
He gets money from his money laundering commissions .
Least we forget Dump Trump dedication to Twitter. We know how hard he works on his Twitter.
I just wonder how much it will cost the US Taxpayers for the trip to Austin just to look at computers. Another boondoggle.
This is why the Repugnicans love Trumpty Dumpty. With Trumpty nominally in charge, a man who is interested in anything only when his name is mentioned, they can run amok. They can ravage and pillage to their greedy, amoral hearts’ content. This is what having Trump in the Offal Office of the now Whiter House means: lawlessness–just what the Repugs have always dreamed of.
The recent Cabinet meeting, were it something out of an Ionesco play, would have been hilarious. It was very like the drinking parties that Stalin used to hold at his dacha at the end of the work day–the ones that his higher-level functionaries were compelled to attend. Each person got his turn to speak, and each had to spend most of that praising Trump. Such fine garments the Emperor has! The best garments. Obama didn’t have such garments! What a privilege to work with one so finely attired!
Here’s how Stalin died: he had a heart attack. He lay on the floor in his office, in a pool of his own urine, for hours, and no one was brave enough to knock on the door to check to see why he hadn’t been out and about to perform his duties. Had they not been so terrified of him, he could well have lived. The irony of this is rich indeed.
Bob Shepherd: “Obama didn’t have such garments!”
Rep. Peter King slams Obama for tan suit
Aug 29, 2014
Rep. Peter King says Obama wearing a tan suit during a press conference was a metaphor for a “lack of seriousness.”
Ah, yes! See!!! Obama, too, had his MAJOR SCANDALS!
A tan suit after Labor Day. Shocking. Astonishing, really, that the nation recovered from this.
Bob Shepherd : Notice that Obama was attacked for having a tan suit for a PRESS CONFERENCE!
Now, the Orange Buffoon doesn’t even have press conferences. How about attacking him for that? It is a MAJOR ‘lack of seriousness’.
And his press secretary doesn’t hold press briefings. You have to give it to Sarah (Miss Communications) Huckster-bee Slanders. She stood up, day after day, and defended the indefensible. Quite the herculean feat! Now, we get occasional Trumpetings from beneath the roaring rotors of Marine One. But we have the constantly flowing river of low comedy and scat from Trumpty Tweetledumb’s unsecured iPhone.
They don’t have press conferences because they don’t want to answer questions.
Evidently in Iowa, expensive-looking suits matter. The Democratic caucuses chose the corporate candidate, Pete Buttigieg, who as a McKinsey guy knew to wear pricey attire.
In his campaign, he said “Join the Swamp!”
Indeed. And rarely in our history have we seen such a collection of swamp-dweller beastie besties, a collection of villains rivaling those of Dickens and the writers are Marvel comics. Bush had to make do with one arch-villain, Cheney. In the Trump swamp, we have a regular phantasmagoria of them.
Really, it would be impossible to make up the likes of Wilbur the Ross or Ditzy DeVoid or Steven Muchkin or Propaganda Minister Steven “Goebbels” Miller. Caricatures, all.

Trump tweeted; That Ravitch woman is trubble. She doesn’t know what work is. She thinks too much.
I’m taking it easy this week. You think it’s easy undermining the Ukrainians and the Kurds. And sleepy Joe took 4 years off.
Fred, I have tried and failed to get him to block me.
Let me be clear…no theatrics that his fixers plan will UNDO the image of that man assaulting that wonderful career professional woman, even as she sat in CONGRESS — the place where law originates.
Trump may believe the he can ‘un-say’ something he just uttered, and there will be on record.
Trump may believe that his circus act will make us forget what we saw… but we won’t.
They ry to show this mongrel looking ‘presidential’ but it won’t work. We all know what this orange blog looks like, sitting in his diaper watching tv and tweeting– in between stuffing his face.

Trump Turns on Pompeo Over State Department Officials’ Impeachment Testimonies, Says Report

Donald Trump has reportedly turned against Secretary of State Mike Pompeo after becoming infuriated by the State Department officials who have testified in the impeachment inquiry. NBC News reports the president has confronted Pompeo about the officials, and what he perceives as a half-hearted effort by the secretary of state to block them from testifying against him. A senior administration official reportedly told the news network that Trump “just felt like, ‘rein your people in.’” The main source of Trump’s anger at Pompeo is reportedly for tapping Ambassador Bill Taylor to be the top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine. Taylor has provided the House Intelligence Committee with deeply damaging details on the White House’s effort to pressure Ukraine into investigating the Biden family.

Trump Accuses Pence Aide Jennifer Williams Of ‘Presidential Attack’
Williams testified in the impeachment probe that Trump’s July phone call with the Ukrainian president was “unusual and inappropriate.”
President Donald Trump lashed out on Sunday against Jennifer Williams, a foreign policy aide to Vice President Mike Pence who has become the latest impeachment inquiry witness to be targeted by the president’s wrath.
“Tell Jennifer Williams, whoever that is, to read BOTH transcripts of the presidential calls, & see the just released ststement from Ukraine,” Trump tweeted, misspelling “statement.” “Then she should meet with the other Never Trumpers, who I don’t know & mostly never even heard of, & work out a better presidential attack!”
Pence’s spokesperson offered no defense of Williams, telling CNN: “Jennifer is a State Department employee.”
On Saturday, House lawmakers released a transcript of Williams’ testimony on Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which is at the heart of impeachment proceedings. A rough transcript of the call shows Trump sought Zelensky’s help with a corruption probe of former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, based on unsubstantiated allegations…

Donald Trump is an endless run-on sentence, which perfectly befits what his fate should be:
Lock him up! And give him a run-on sentence for the rest of his life.
“Trump said on Monday that he was “strongly” considering submitting his own written testimony to the impeachment inquiry.”
Write to Pelosi and demand that Trump be interrogated. He is so stupid that he’ll not remember what he says and incriminate himself.

‘Fox & Friends’ Host Begs Trump: Please Don’t Tweet During Impeachment Hearings

It’s a plea that will almost certainly land on deaf ears—but President Trump’s supporters at Fox & Friends have pleaded with him to stay off Twitter during this week’s public impeachment hearings. This week will see a marathon of public hearings from key witnesses, including U.S. Ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland. Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade addressed Trump on the air Tuesday morning, saying that the best thing for him to do during the potentially pivotal hearings is to shut up. “The president should just ignore this whole thing,” he said. “Don’t tweet during it, don’t get outraged over it, it ticks you off … There’s so much for him to do … Let these guys like Doug Collins and Company fight it out and keep it on the straight and narrow, from the Republican perspective.” Kilmeade is likely to be disappointed—Trump said on Monday that he was “strongly” considering submitting his own written testimony to the impeachment inquiry.

The connections leading to Yovanovich’s recall- Pompeo, Hannity, The Hill (a right wing media site) and Giuliani are developed in an article today at TPM.
Since the GOP doesn’t have any recourse to counter the fact that Trump wanted foreign help to win the next election, they resort to trashing the people who testify and to say the acts of the Dems is going against the Constitution. This is way beyond horrible.

How the Left is Trashing the Constitution to Fight Trump
Attorney General William Barr recently delivered a lecture at the Federalist Society’s 2019 National Lawyers Convention. The New York Post published excerpts of his remarks as a column last night.
“I deeply admire the American presidency as a political and constitutional institution. I believe it is one of the great and remarkable innovations in our Constitution. More than any other branch, it has fulfilled the expectations of the Framers,” Attorney General William Barr says.
“Unfortunately, over the past several decades, we have seen steady encroachment on presidential authority by the other branches of government. This process, I think, has substantially weakened the functioning of the executive branch, to the detriment of the nation.”
The left is “willing to use any means necessary to gain momentary advantage in achieving their end, regardless of collateral consequences and the systemic implications.”
“The scariest aspect of [Alexander] Vindman’s testimony is his insistence that US foreign policy should be made by unelected bureaucrats like himself. He says he and his colleagues have formulated ‘the best, most informed judgment’ about Ukraine, and it was not ‘appropriate for government officials’ like Trump’s ambassadors to act ‘counter’ to it. What arrogance,” Betsy McCaughey writes in the New York Post.
“At the very least, House Democrats and the media should spare us the sanctimonious narrative that every impeachment witness is a selfless hero whose credibility is above questioning and whose every statement must be taken at face value. After all, we need look no further than the appalling display of other ‘deep state’ bureaucrats connected to the Russia collusion hoax—former FBI director James Comey, his deputy Andrew McCabe, and the sneering former FBI agent Pete Strzok,” for examples of craven dishonesty and self-interest, John Daniel Davidson writes in The Federalist.
