Boats of every type and size converged on Lower Manhattan to rescue half a million people who were trapped after the Twin Towers fell.
It reminds us of the power of good that brings people together in common purpose.

That terrible day impacted so many lives in many different ways. It is a day that should never be forgotten. United We Stand, Divided We Fall. God Bless anyone that has suffered a personal loss related to 9/11.

I was pregnant and home with a toddler in the NYC suburbs that day. I made it a point to read every victims portrait in the New York Times. I thought about it every day for years.
Thank you for posting this documentary. I knew little to nothing of the boaters’ impact.
