D.C. blogger Valerie Jablow reports here on the election spending for the school boards in the District. There is a district board and a state board.
Much to no one’s surprise, the biggest funder is the pro-charter group “Democrats for Education Reform,” most of whose members are hedge fund managers.
They won’t be satisfied until there are no public schools anywhere.

The day will come when every parent will fear for the mental and physical safety of their child in the publicly funded, private sector corporate charter school industry.
Like the Koch brothers, DFER will use its wealth to influence the outcome of local school board election in order to gain access to the public money. Residents of Washington D.C. should realize that a vote for DFER endorsed candidates is a vote against local democratic control of schools and funds. A vote for a DFER endorsed candidate is a vote against public education. DFER supports a corporate takeover of local schools, which if they look at Detroit or New Orleans, does not bode well for the young people of Washington D.C.

The DFERS may as well write “I am really a GOP” on their clothing and on their foreheads.
I have “disdain” for DFERS.
Why even DJT was a Democrat (“They say”). So someone please explain to me how that works. I suspect Orwell would be the best reference on that point.

The “Liberal Media” which should really be refereed to as the corporate media; would have you believe that the parties should move to the center. That would not be a bad thing because right now the Democrats are or recently were a slightly right of center party. So any leftward move toward the center would be an improvement from my prospective.
So by what metric is DFER a Democratic party organization. And by what Metric is even MSNBC liberal media My favorite hosts all being ex Republican anti Trumpers who will say anything as long as it does not affect the corporate bottom line . Certainly the Washington Post is another laughable example of Liberal media. WAPO who just backed the Republican in Maryland over Ben Jealous former head of the NAACP. WAPO who daily assailed the budget deficits even prior to Trump in the heart of the Great Recession. And who never met a trade agreement it did not like. Even as only 26 Democrats in the House voted to give Obama fast track trade authority.
An interesting piece in the Times that I was linked to by Dean Bakers commentary on it or more correctly his commentary about a Matt Yglesias column about it . I post it with full knowledge that the vast majority of Trumpanzees are motivated by hate and not economics. But it is similar to a Jeffery Sachs piece on Brexit. We pick winners and losers our policy is designed by the winners to benefit the winners.
If DFER’s Hedge fund managers were concerned with poverty they would end their advantages in the tax code and securities law that cause the inequality. That place workers in a race to the bottom to boost share prices that go to the wealthy. Notice the closing of Sears by a Hedge fund. The Hedge fund managers will get paid handsomely as the workers get screwed out of pensions and Jobs.

In the past 50 years that I have lived and worked for both real and faked people who are authorities and leaders in communities.
Truthfully and luckily if people have good eyes and ears to observe, to read and to listen from history, from modern news and from their own working condition, then they MUST recognize that whoever say and do what they say accordingly, his/her family members, relatives, friends, subordinates, and neighbors will somehow reflect their conscience.
As a result, those billionaire boys/men are buying and creating a front runner who must be their puppets and subservient workers to follow to their commands. Therefore, all greedy and gullible believers need to wake up and to smell the coffee.
There are 24 hours in a day, how do we become rich if we only work straight forward without rip off the GREEDY AND GULLIBLE BELIEVERS? Take an example of the past Mr. Donald Trump who made construction workers to work for him free; to get government subsidize post office building which become his earning rental income hotel; and to provide all empty promises to all voters last Presidential election in November 2016…
It is very sadden to admit that all good and past events keep repeating in the past 5000+ years.
