The IndyStar reports that former Governor Mike Pence used a personal AOL account to conduct state business, and that his account included sensitive information about security.
Vice President Mike Pence routinely used a private email account to conduct public business as governor of Indiana, at times discussing sensitive matters and homeland security issues.
Emails released to IndyStar in response to a public records request show Pence communicated via his personal AOL account with top advisers on topics ranging from security gates at the governor’s residence to the state’s response to terror attacks across the globe. In one email, Pence’s top state homeland security adviser relayed an update from the FBI regarding the arrests of several men on federal terror-related charges.
Cyber-security experts say the emails raise concerns about whether such sensitive information was adequately protected from hackers, given that personal accounts like Pence’s are typically less secure than government email accounts. In fact, Pence’s personal account was hacked last summer.
Is it time to start chanting “Lock him up”?

Is anybody shocked by the fact that Republicans are loathsome hypocrites. Their ability to get away with it, is only due to the timidity of their opposition. An opposition caught between their constituency’s and there corporate donors.

His inability to back down from petty fights puts our country in peril.

Intelligence experts are warning that Pres. Donald Trump and his administration’s refusal to acknowledge truths that don’t align with their worldview could have serious geopolitical consequences — a situation that is made even more complicated by the “fundamental ignorance and inexperience of Trump’s inner circle.”

Lock him up, lock him up (and throw away the key). Maybe we can send him to space in one of the upcoming explorations. Mars would be good.

Using a private server for government business like Hillary did only counts as wrong if you are a Democrat. I read that there was no evidence her private e-mail account had ever been hacked but the State Department’s server was hacked along with the DOD, FBI, etc.
It doesn’t count when you are a libertarian/conservative/fundamentalist/serial lying/woman molester/greedy Republican. They are exempt for morality and honesty. Only liberals and progressives are supposed to tell the truth and be moral, honest upstanding citizens.

Mike Pence: No comparison between his, Hillary Clinton’s use of emails – from Indianapolis Star
Vice President Mike Pence made his first public comments Friday at an event in Janesville, Wis., in response to an IndyStar report that he had used his private AOL email account to conduct some public business when he was Indiana’s governor.
“I’m very confident we are in full compliance with all of Indiana’s laws. And in my service as vice president. I will continue that practice.”
On whether he now had more sympathy for Hillary Clinton regarding emails:
“There’s no comparison whatsoever between Hillary Clinton’s practice — having a private server, misusing classified information, destroying emails when they were requested by the Congress. We have fully complied with Indiana’s laws. We had outside counsel review all of my previous email records to identify any that ever mentioned or referenced state business.”
Emails released to IndyStar in response to a public records request show Pence communicated via his personal AOL account with top advisers on topics ranging from security gates at the governor’s residence to the state’s response to terror attacks across the globe…

The most disturbing thing about this “email scandal” is that it is typical Mike Pence behavior. In the 1988 campaign for congressional seat held by longtime Congressman Phil Sharp of Indiana, Mike Pence ran on false claims of Sharp misusing campaign funds and taking too much money from special interest groups. Pence was found to have misused his campaign funds, $13K of them, to pay his mortgage, car payments and golfing fees.
Pence lost handily, but was able to reinvent himself as a nice guy who had just made an innocent mistake. But these “mistakes” are a part of “I am going to do whatever is needed to benefit myself and my ideological agenda.” Pence laid low his entire 12 years as a congressman, doing absolutely nothing except appearing at a Tea Party rally shouting “shut it down” in regard to not funding the federal government. He replaced an elected Superintendent of Public Instruction (Indiana’s head Education Official) with an appointed panel of education privatizers that expanded vouchers in the state, he started a state-run news agency to spread his propaganda, he illegally blocked a Syrian family already vetted, from settling in Indiana, he nearly destroyed the state’s economy with an unconstitutional law about religious freedom, and on and on and on.
So Mike Pence is very disturbing, and what make’s the current political atmosphere so scary is that if Trump were to leave office for any reason, we would have Pence. A governor that nearly destroyed his state;s economy in less than 4 years, crippled public schools with an unchecked expansion of vouchers, led the state to a severe teacher shortage, one of the highest child poverty rates in the nation, a rapidly deteriorating infrastructure, and attack after attack on women, the LGBTQ community, the environment and public education.
So I pray for Trump’s health and hope he lasts for the full 4 years so he can be voted out. And that is hard for me to say because I believe Trump to be an incompetent fool and a disgusting human being. But even Trump would be better than Pence.

Great comments that do portray the evil side of Pence. He is not one to be trusted even though he ‘looks’ the part.
I’m assuming that you also live in Indiana.
