When Betsy DeVos was questioned by the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensuons Committee, her financial disclosure forms had not been completed, so the Senators were uninformed in the extent of her conflicts of interest.
The Center for American Progress reviewed the documents, too late to make a difference, so that the public would be informed. It is not clear whether she will divest any of her holdings or whether anyone even cares. In the Trump era, ethics rules seem to have been suspended.

What a hideous administration. There’s no end to it from top to bottom. In his speech last night, Trump was talking about deregulating the FDA. This will be a horror show.

I know I harp on this constantly but public schools need to become much more savvy, and quickly, on ed tech.
I don’t know how they will do this but they better figure it out because they are going to get hit with an absolute tidal wave of BS on ed tech and it will be coming from “trusted” sources.
Resist the sales pitch. Take your time. Salespeople like DeVos who rush you and insist you “buy now and radically transform!” are not trustworthy people.
If you don’t know what to buy or who to trust? Good! That means you’re doing your job.
These claims are ridiculous. You will not, in fact, get “double growth” based on purchase of an educational game. That is a sales pitch. Because it’s coming from the US Department of Education or Jeb Bush or Betsy DeVos does not make it any less of a sales pitch.

Diane, concern about conflicts of interest, and ethics, for that matter, only apply to the “little guy” working for the federal government. The big kahunas get a free pass.

Kahunas is too nice. I’d say “The big shits get a free pass.”

In Greek, we would call them “malakas.” (Look it up.)

I did-from wiki: It can be an exclamation of pleasure, an expression of dark horror, a cry of anger, a paean of affection, and other different things besides its literal equivalent, which in British English is “wanker”. Common alternative meanings include “asshole” or “jerk”, and the contrasting “dude”, or “mate”, depending on the context.[2] It derives from the Greek word malakos (μαλακός), which means “soft” or “spoilt, well-used to luxuries of life”.
Seems about right also! I’d bet all languages have a similar word/meaning.

For the most part, it’s definitely used as a big insult. The “affection” usage is rarer and normally used, if at all, between very close friends, as someone might, in English, call a good friend “you little dork” or worse.

Shouldn’t she have put these investments in a blind trust unless she wants to invite more scrutiny? She has clear conflicts of interest in her financial holdings.

Obviously it does not matter if the education dimwit divests or not. It does not matter that DT will not release his tax forms. The GOP voted to not push the issue with DT.
What matters is DT’s cabinet has the highest IQ ever. (tongue in cheek)
