I don’t believe in conspiracy theories. Nope, I don’t believe in conspiracy theories.
I also find it hard to believe that the American people are so dumb as to elect a phony, a guy who pad a $25 million fine for scamming people with his fraudulent “university.”
So here is the latest conspiracy theory.
It involves Billionaire Betsy, her brother, and the Man Who Would Be King. I don’t endorse it. I pass it on so you won’t be left in the dark.

The Intercept story aligns well.

This makes sense, explaining Comey’s inexplicable announcement two weeks before the election . . .
. . . though Comey’s Oct. 27 announcement about the laptop may not have carried the same weight if he hadn’t already done a number on Hillary back in July, both clearing her of criminal wrongdoing and chastising her mercilessly in the same breath.
If this is true, I hope someone goes to jail. Let’s hope it’s not just up to Republicans to investigate.

Compelling. Most conspiracy theories have little or no evidence to support them. This one has a flood of evidence, facts, data.

The Huff Post article writer provides links and has public facebook page and lots of data about himself provided there. He also posted to please post the piece on trump supporter sites if anyone has access. My purpose in taking a look is to try to make some sense as to WHY such an incompetent person as Betsy DeVos would be appointed. She stated that she’ll stop donations if she gets the position so that takes away motivation to vote her in for further payola. I know Moscowitz and Rhee were considered and they are better qualified (and probably way more intelligent regardless of what trump said today about the IQ of his cabinet that doesn’t even exist yet). THese folks have their jobs and no more funding will come from her if she’s Ed Sec so what else could be causing all the pandering and peptalking and failure to ask tough questions?

Betsy might stop giving donations to her pet politicians, but that doesn’t mean her family members will stop.

This is so outrageous, we cannot let it be ignored!!
I think everyone should send a message immediately, that is something like the following, to their representatives in Congress, especially those who are Democrats:
“Are you going to do nothing about this, and just let the inauguration happen?? Even if Trump is impeached afterwards, we will be stuck with an ultra right-wing president in Mike Pence.
Please, I implore Democrats, do not resign yourselves to just accepting this horrendous scandal and turning our nation over to the Tea Party!
Don’t inaugurate, INVESTIGATE!”

This explains the smirk that Betsey DeVos had on her face throughout the confirmation hearing which I was able to catch online. It was her tell, and the subtext of the message, which wreaked of oligarchic hubris, was, “I’m just winging it. I didn’t need to study up on education for this bogus confirmation hearing because I don’t need to know squat about it, since my family and I already bought all the GOP senators here, so I know I’ve got this job in the bag. So screw you, democracy, money matters most!”
The rich like to say that, “everyone has a price.” I think the Republicans were bought at bargain basement prices. Shame on all the dirt cheap GOP, but especially Lamar Alexander!

Well, let’s add Joe Lieberman to Lamar.
WHAT is wrong with them? Disgraceful!

OMG, YES! Thanks for reminding me how Lieberman made me gag. And I didn’t learn about his lobbying and working for a law firm employed by Trump until after I saw his groveling, but that explained it all.

Conspiracy theories have been given a bad name that they don’t deserve. Sure some are ridiculous, and some are compelling, but wrong; but most are true. History is, in very large part, a history of crime, and criminality by it’s nature has to conspire.

Do not stray too far from the issues of substance regarding education which are destructive. DeVos has a mountain of them, and that is where the emphasis belongs.
