Investigative journalist Kurt Eichenwald explored the far-flung reaches of Trump’s business and found the potential for massive conflicts of interest should he be elected.

Will the Trump family sever its connections to their empire? Don’t hold your breath.
Why isn’t the mainstream media (i.e. television networks: ABC, CBS, and NBC) reporting on this? Why aren’t they reporting on his alleged attempts to bribe the Florida and Texas State Attorney Generals? Why did they give only cursory coverage to his alleged swindle of thousands of students at his Trump University? Time magazine came out with a report on his alleged use of illegal immigrant laborers and refusal to pay said laborers for work completed on his Trump Tower. Why was this not covered by the mainstream media? I understand that Fox News would never cover this, being so closely aligned to Trump, but I don’t understand why ABC, CBS, and NBC are not reporting on these extremely important issues. I’m extremely disappointed and saddened by their refusal to cover these newsworthy items.
The lies and outrageous statements and behavior come so often that they become normalized
Kurt Eichenwald , you are an unstable person as the candidate you support ,
go check yourself , you a sick man , look at your facial expressions , look at your anger .
go take care of yourself, feel good and i wish you all the best
don’t worried in November 8 you will receive your blue pill medicines
“David Goldberg” (not your real name), I decided to post your comment because it is typical of the vicious Trump diatribes that I always delete. I don’t think your name is”David Goldberg” because most of the diatribes are either racist or anti-Semitic.
Kurt Eichenwald is a respected business journalist. I went to his Twitter feed and saw the vast outpourings of anti-Semitism and vitriol. Eichenwald wrote again and again, “I am an Episcopalian.” Then he started blocking the Deplorables.
Instead of insulting Eichenwald, why not correct anything you think he got wrong?
So do you have anything useful to say, david (who can’t even capitalize his name), or are you just here to namecall?
How can I read this when I need to read about whether Trump is overweight or obese?
F L E R P !
You’ve lost sight of the most important Trump attribute-his small hands.
After the info on Trump and Turkey and Erdogan…wonder if Trump is also involved with Fetuallah Gulen???

The Trump brand is a tangled web of conflicts of interest with many countries with whom we have tenuous relationships. It is impossible to separate this man from his brand. His thoughtless, and maybe even dangerous entanglements, could be a source of embarrassment perhaps putting the United States government in a compromising position. He could lead us down a rabbit hole of conflict, corruption and perhaps even war. Isn’t it interesting that the media has launched into ‘red flag’ mode for the Clinton Foundation, whose operations are transparent, but up to now, very little has been said about Trump and his ethically challenged international associates?
His supporters do not care. This is creeping fascism

Trump said a few days ago that if Iranians on small boats made ugly gestures to our destroyers, he would order the Navy to blow the Iranians out of the water.
That’s an act of war.
Do as I say, believe what I say, don’t pay attention to the man behind the curtain.
Called ‘sleight of hand’ and it is a card shark behavior, Chiara…. his stock in trade. However, all his assets are supposed to be held in a blind trust when/if he is in the office of the President. With his unstable and self serving personality, he will surely resist this rule. Retired T…agree with you.
He can’t separate from his business
He will do it just as he released his tax returns
What can we do?
The sad part is this was all predictable, including the fact that Trump is pulling ahead. Hillary needed two things to win this race. One she needed the youth vote to be motivated and do something they normally do not do. VOTE. Two she needed to get the Black vote to do something that it does not normally do. Turn out in the same massive numbers that it did for Obama.
The fact is in a four way race Johnson is grabbing more votes from Clinton than from Trump. That is the youth vote turning from Clinton. Those that are not staying home that is.
Why they go for Johnson and not Stein is perplexing.
Yesterday Ford announced it is moving all small car production to Mexico. That is a Trump commercial and he does not have to pay a dime for it. They are not moving there for it’s highly educated work force, nor to move into a new automated factory.
The Democrats have been too cleaver by far, from Obama pushing the TPP in the lame duck.To the spectacle of Wassermann Schultz . How does the failure to repudiate the TPP in the Platform look now. How does picking Kaine and not Warren look now, business as usual in a burn it down year.
So I am afraid that we the American people are going to pay for Hillary. She will return to a very comfortable life, business as usual. Although I suspect the speeches will loose their market value. Public schools, American workers and the American people will pay the price
for decades. Many of those voting for Trump the greatest price.
Joel, what is Warren doing in Mass to fight the Walton takeover and privatization of public schools?
Joel: I looked at Johnson’s platform, and it is socially liberal, but mostly conservative. I don’t understand how young people can go from Sanders to Johnson. What is Aleppo? Really? It doesn’t make sense.
Gary Johnson told politico that he wants total school choice
Ellen,
Trump can’t put his holdings in a blind trust. A blind trust holds stocks and bonds. It is managed by a professional.
His children will run his business
Gov Christie assured us on NBC last night that Trump and his children will ups never discuss the family business
What has been confusing in the last year is how often Trump looks confusedly out at his audience or into the cameras and more or less says exactly that: Don’t Pay Attention To The Man Behind The Curtain. And then his die-hard supporters obediently look the other way.
Eichenwald does a remarkable job, and without any of Trump’s tax returns.
At least now we now more clearly why The Yam refuses to release those returns.
If you want to know and see what’s wrong with our nation, just take a look an the entire Trump clan.
And if you want to know and see another problem, also take a look at this “new” report from Harvard Business School. Actually, it’s merely a survey of what top business executives think about American “competitiveness.” Guess what they think needs to be done? Yep. Cut corporate taxes, let them bring back cash they “earn” overseas, with little to no taxation, open up H1B1 immigration, force public schools to do better, and balance the budge and cut entitlements.

Never mind that “top” business executive pushed all this nonsense before, including a laissez-faire approach to Wall Street. It didn’t end well. And now they want more. And eggheads at Harvard are endorsing them. There are some truly “serious” well-placed people who will actually give this (mostly) nonsense credence.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth Warren wants for information from the FBI about its investigation into the financial fraud that led to the Great Recession. She has said, “There’s a clear public interest in finding out why none of these individuals or corporations were held responsible.”

This is an incredibly important election.
