Being born poor is not your fault, but if you die poor, you have no one to blame but yourself!?!! What an incredibly ignorant statement! This man really is isolated in his own little cocoon, which would be okay if he didn’t have so much influence over those who live in a different reality.
If there was a true free market, raising chickens would be OK. But here in the US of A we have corporate welfare and are not even close to having a free market. Until voters realize the US operates under socialism for corporations things will only get worse. Of course the uninformed will blame the poor.
It is also true that it is NOT our fault for being born under bad influence of parental guidance like greed, lust and ego, but it WILL BE definitely our fault for being slow learning about the universal law of Karma = cause and effect.
If being educated and proud to be genius, but DO NOT respect for the universal law of Karma, then sooner or later, people will enjoy or suffer as in = reap whatever you sow = good deed returns good deed = devil follows devil. Back2basic
If Bill Gates had the ability to and interest, in improving the world, he would start in his weight class, zeroing in on the financial sector, which drags down GDP. Gates has no interest in taking on Wall Street, either because he is like them or, he knows he’s not smart enough to best them. That’s why he gives chickens away, instead.
If he and Buffett had souls, they would focus on money velocity, which is hamstrung by their and their cronies’ concentrated wealth.
IMO, Gates is just trying to make more money on his philanthropy, than he made on Microsoft, out of some perverse pleasure in the exercise.
Everything thing that comes out of Gates mouth = Ka-CHING for him and his wanting to dominate others. Gates has NOT come up with an original idea in his entire life.
At Truthout, economist Dean Baker, explodes the myth about a link between Gates money and his contribution to technology. Government patent policies made Gates rich.
And, of course, Congress sets those policies. It’d be very easy to address the strangle hold that concentrated wealth has on GDP. Congress need only return patent policies to those of a prior period, check out impact and then, keep dialing back until, the richest 0.1% no longer thwart economic growth.

You forgot to add that corporations are people…
“The rich will do anything for the poor but get off their backs.”

Everything that comes out of Gates’ mouth is stupid.
