This Michigan blogger read the voluminous emails from Governor Rick Snyder’s office and discovered that Flint would have saved millions of dollars by staying with the safe water from Detroit.
What was the motivation for the switch? Who benefited? Why switch to unsafe water? These are questions that should be answered by a serious and credible investigation, not by a lawyer who contributed to Governor Snyder’s campaign.

The Washington Post has an excellent article about the Federal authorities (EPA) covering up lead in the water problem not only in Flint but also ten years ago in Washington DC. It was a Virginia Tech professor who would not be silenced — in both cases.

The motivation? Same as for “Stop & Frisk”, the endless (failure) “War on Drugs”, the disproportionately high number of Blacks in prison and Blacks killed by police, the disproportionate location of polluted land and Super Fund sites near Black neighborhoods, and all the other systemic and institutionalized discriminations against Blacks: RACISM.
Race is not a biological fact, but it is still killing people.

Meanwhile the ruling class which imposed the Emergency Manager in Flint and Detroit is determined to abolish the rights of teachers who brought the terrible conditions in Detroit to light:
“The sick-outs have angered majority Republicans in Michigan’s Legislature. Last week, they proposed — and promised to quickly pass — legislation to make it easier to deem such work stoppages illegal strikes.
The legislation would shorten from 60 days to two days the deadline for a state commission to conduct a hearing on complaints. It also would allow hearings to be held for more than one teacher at a time, empower the state superintendent to revoke their teaching certificates and impose larger fines.”

The push to privatize water follows the same script as the privatization of public education.
In Flint, the intent was, to take vulnerable people to the brink, and then pull out the save… private water. It just went too far. In education, they push schools and teachers to the brink, then, pull out the save….charter schools.
Is there any other way to explain testing urban children 266% more than suburban kids?
And, having Detroit children trying to learn in dilapidated buildings? Punishing teachers for poor student test scores?
I’m sure Snyder is “shocked” at the public’s anger. When a person, who wants money, is focused like a rat in a maze, seeking a pellet, everything on the periphery is just distant noise.

I clicked the link and read the piece by Michael Moore. Everyone who isn’t already a biased, racist fool, MUST read this to discover where this country is headed if we don’t stand up and fight back NOW. The fools, of course, will refuse to read it or accept any of the shocking evidence Moore reveals about Flint just because Moore is labelled a liberal. Once labeled, data, facts and truth do not count anymore. Only lies count.
