Mark Pafford, House Minority Leader in the Florida legislature, supports parents who tell their children to opt out of standardized testing.
Pafford says that Florida does not have the public education system that the state’s children need. He singles out the overuse of testing as an area where the state has gone wrong. It uses tests not to help people, but to punish them.
Wise man! Pafford for Governor!

We need more people in positions of authority to speak out like this to counter all the lies being told. It will take at least twice as many to tell the truth (is it something like a 5x repetition to over ride a false belief?) for the public to stop accepting and start questioning.

Bill Maher calls these false beliefs “zombie lies” — they keep on living long after they’re dead.

Getting rid of false beliefs is probably much more difficult than just repeating something five times. But this effort by some politicians will certainly help. It certainly gives hope to everyone who thinks that we have way too much testing. It certainly shows that the opt-out movement is having some effect.
