The Badass Teachers Association needs your help to expand their presence and voice. BATS are teachers who are bold, courageous, and outspoken on behalf of students, teachers, and public schools. They make a difference.

Better yet, whether you join or not, send some money, as much as you can, whatever you can afford.
This is a great group, led by teachers. They deserve your support.

Diane – thank you for all your support. As an army of volunteers BATs work hard 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, all time zones to make a difference. Your support has been a beacon of hope for us and we will fight proudly alongside you until we win this for kids, equity, and public education – Marla Kilfoyle, BATs Executive Director, public school teacher 29 years and still going strong, proud Mommy of a public school child!

The BAT members, of which I am one, are a great group of professional teachers. They (we) are, however, marked by a name so uncommon of who we are and by an anger that is not forgiving. Remember, there is no future without forgivness (Desmond TuTu) and what is not transcended is transmitted (Richard Rohr).

I’d really like a BATs PO Box address to which to send checks in the good ole fashioned, unhackable US Mail.
BATs are the very essence of badass!

Thank you so much, Diane. You are an inspiration to all BATS. Your advocacy means the world. Together we can still win this fight against the corporate education reformers.
