Any public appearances in DC?
Would like to hear you in person and meet you.
How about a presentation at Politics & Prose book store (http://www.politics-prose.com)?
Richard Whitmire spoke there 3 years ago flogging his hagiography of M Rhee.
He yelled at people who asked questions he didn’t like.

What do you do in your spare time?
LOL
Seriously, Thanks so very much for carrying on the fight. The future of our nation depends on what will be done. Again: the greatest question facing public education: Who is going to run our educational institutions; scholars, educators, child psychologist or politicians? The answer to that will determine obviously the course of history.

I plan on attending the date in Durham. Will you be signing books as well?

You’re going to Chile to meet with researchers? Wow! That’s wonderful!! We can always use more evidence from there of what is in store for us here, if we stay on this destructive privatization course.
Just hope the extended time you’ve planned in Chile means that’s going to be a vacation for you, too, because this looks like another very hectic schedule and your health is sooooo important, Diane!

Been a fan since my undergrad days. Now that I’m an education professor, I’m driving 4 hours each way to hear you speak tomorrow night in Gainesville and wouldn’t miss it. Your passion for public education is inspiring.

Glad to see that you are taking it easy, Diane. Yikes!
Of course, I think you should cancel all these and come see us in Tampa. LOL.

Or you could drive to Gainesville to see Diane at U of FL tomorrow night, like Michele Garabedian Stork said above that she will be doing. From Tampa, that should take about half the time as Michelle’s drive.

Dear Dr. Ravitch: Will your conversation w/ John Merrow be taped for broadcast? The News Hour? or some other production?
Thanks so much for doing this!

I will ask John Merrow.

PS — have you thought of doing a documentary? It seems like that would be one helpful way to get your message out.

Congratulations on being awarded more Honorary Degrees, Diane! Will that occur at Commencement, such as at Columbia College in Chicago, or will that be at a different time –and will you be speaking then, too?

Thanks for getting your “orange” on, and thanks for speaking at so many NY sites. It is a battle here, but you give us hope and vision.
