Can we add “incubation”? We probably need an entire MA program just for “Incubation” (unless they’ve declared it a “science,” so then it would be an MS).
Chicago has a “Chief Officer for Innovation and Incubation” (annual salary, $165,000 per year; vetted by the Broad Foundation…) to innovate and incubate innovations. He came from out of town, and is part of the cabinet of our Chief Executive Officer, Barbara Byrd Bennett (who also came to us from out of town; Chicago doesn’t have any veteran executives to fill such jobs).
There is more, from the media end. The new owners of the Chicago Sun-Times, one of Chicago’s two daily newspapers, believe that print is “obsolete”. They purchased a newspaper to incubate innovative digital projects. Eventually, they hope to do a quickie IPO and makes lots of dough.
Honest. In May Michael Ferro fired all 20 Sun-Times photojournalists (austerity and all that “raising shareholder value” stuff). The terminated reporters included a Pulitzer Prize winner or two (John White I knew well). The owners declared that photojournalists are as obsolete as buggy whips (don’t you love those stale ruling class metaphors; that one began with Warren Buffett).
So let’s never leave out the incubation of the innovational digital futuristical stuff when we’re vetting our nouveau stuff for future pedagogies.

I offer to teach economics of schools and how they do fraud. Since I don’t see anyone else here that seems to know as no one else gives real numbers from budgets around the country and if you do not know the money the rest does not matter as it cannot be funded as they give it away to their friends. iPads are going down on the financial aspect as they are going to bankrupt districts across the country. I now have the absolute proof of the game and it is coming soon. It just kept getting better. Want to stop the billionaires, stop their stealing and the only way to do that is by knowing budgets and averages through time. I generally do 10 years as experience has shown that you need to do this in order to know what happened and is happening now.
Nothing wrong with education. I do it all the time with my laptop in the public. Blows their mind with the reality and lies all have been telling them when they see the documented proof.
Mercedes, start your school. Educate people to the facts not the ideology. When people know the facts and have them at hand the arguments are hard to break as they know what they are talking about and have the proof at hand. Watch them crawl like cockroaches.

Let’s see if these new schools do any worse than traditional schools of education. If one cares about improving schools, having prospective teachers focus on how to handle a classroom is probably much more useful than having them study a bunch of tedious and arcane “scholarship” that no one reads or cares about.

Dee Dee that is an excellent idea. How do you think I bust them? I know what they do from past experience. So, this would be a great course in training people as to the ways they do it. When people understand how criminality is done they have the ability to spot it and stop it because they know the syndrome. That makes it easy to design how to stop it. When you do not understand the syndrome, how to you defend against it? Very hard for those who do not know the game. Know the game, you can defeat it.
