Dear Friends, Family and Supporters,
Thank you all for your amazing support of my desire and belief that we can make a difference. Your donations have all been instrumental in our movement to send a message to billionaires from LA to NYC and all the way to Australia. Yes, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Rupert Murdoch along will Walmart king pins have all donated to an independent expenditure campaign supporting our opponent to try and buy a seat on the Los Angeles School Board. Why? Why do they want to invest over 1.7 million dollars? When that much money is spent, how can one not wonder “why”?
Let’s not wait and find out the “why”. All your generous donations have been so appreciated. They have helped us reach absentee voters and early voters. There is one last mailer we need to get out by this coming Wednesday, to election day voters!! We believe it is a special mailer that will resonate with our election day voters. When you join our ARM CHAIR FUNDRAISER no matter what amount you donate, we will send you this mailer as well. So that you can see, first hand, where your dollars are being spent.
With 9 DAYS left til May 21st, election day, please come to our ARM CHAIR FUNDRAISER Any donation of any amount will help us reach election day voters.
So stroll across your living room until you reach your ARM CHAIR, have a seat, take out your check book and send a check to MONICA RATLIFF for BOE General Election – 10420 Parr Ave. #5 Sunland, CA 91040 or grab your laptop or tablet and go to http://www.MONICARATLIFF2013.com and hit the DONATE BUTTON credit cards are accepted here. The money you save on gas alone by not driving to a fundraiser is worth a $25.00 donation.
Help us let the voters decide this election –not outside interests. Help send a message that PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE NOT FOR SALE!
Monica Ratliff Fifth Grade Teacher, Endorsed by: The Los Angeles Times (twice), The Daily News (twice), present and past board members, Democrats and Republicans, Principals, Parents and 30,000 classroom teachers, and most important YOU – with YOU, our friends, family and supporters, we can make a difference.

Monica Ratliff for Board of Education 2013 · United States
We have a chance here to stand up for students, teachers, our communities and PUBLIC education by electing Monica. It’s a real chance to push back on the corporate education reform movement here in the second Largest school district in the nation. What a statement that will make! I donated again yesterday. How about YOU?
You need to put flyers featuring the candidate and then under their picture and name the wealthy faces and what they are best known for (phone hacking, yellow-journalism, bee-eating, mouth taping…) along with how much they have donated from afar and what they are likely to expect from their bought candidate. THEN the picture of the people’s choice, pictures of their local supporters, what they have given, and what they expect in return for their support.
Go Monica!
Hey I am from OHIO and I just donated!
If Mayor Bloomberg can donate from New York, we can donate from Ohio and all across the nation.
I consider it a Mother’s Day gift to our children and grandchildren of today and tomorrow…
Let’s keep our Public Schools thriving and open to all with teachers who are dedicated, career professionals lifting up, taking care of and educating our children!!!
Monica, Thanks for being the voice of our Children, our Profession and our Democracy!
Ok…
I just donated, what about YOU?
Done!
As a teacher here in Los Angeles, THANK YOU!
I put in 25.
Good luck, Monica!
Thank you Diane Ravich for helping with this extremely important election. You have made me so happy. You never know what makes things go over the top of the mountain. If Monica Ratliff wins this election she will be the beginning of the Giant Killers of the corporatist privatizers end. It will be the beginning of a process to return to reality and education for all children as they all have equal importance and every educator I have ever know who has turned around a school has done the same thing and that is to demonstrate to the students that they are more important than the adults and the adults are there to assist them in having a great life as a fully rounded citizen who is knowledgable and has good decision making skills. Help put Monica Ratliff over the top for all in the U.S. Then the vote will be 4-3 for the good guys.
I was at Monica’s apartment yesterday addressing mailers for the May 21 election. The money coming from donations is for mailer postage. I promise to keep addressing mailers all week as long as you keep donating. A worthier candidate for LAUSD’s board of ed I have never met in my 35 years as a public educator in Los Angeles. It’s an honor to be part of a Ravitch-Ratliff effort.
Monica was a student of mine in my Honors American History class in Phoenix, Arizona. I am so pleased to be able to support one of the most creative, intelligent and interesting students it was my pleasure to teach in over 40 years in public education. Monica and I have remained in contact and developed a friendship since her days in my high school class. We communicated on a regular basis while she was an undergraduate student and a law school student at Columbia University in New York. When she decided to leave the law profession to become a teacher, I was delighted to support her as I always thought she would be an excellent teacher. Time has proved that to be true. If more professional people would make the same sacrifce to serve the public, education and the public would benefit greatly. I too, have been a school board member in the Deer Valley Unified School District, in the Phoenix area. Monica and I have discussed the duties and obligations of being on a school board many times and I am pleased to support her decision to use her life experiences to serve students and the public by seeking a position on the Los Angeles School Board. Her experiences as an attorney, a teacher and advocate for all students make her an ideal candidate for a position on the school board. The students and citizens of Los Angeles will only benefit from having such a bright, inquisitive, informed, honest and charming person on the Los Angeles School Board..
I can relate. I lost the November school board election in November in Oakland despite being endorsed by the teacher, the students, the democrats and the greens. Their was a ridiculous amount of money raised against me mostly coming from venture capitalists and the California charter school assoc. we need to help and support anyone standing up against the “reformers” and “privatizers”.
Hey folks….Monica is being clobbered 10 mailers to 1 and 100s of paid walkers against her along paid phone banks and opposition research….write a check tonight to her campaign and call her asap to help
