The national election took center stage this week.
But we should not forget the suffering of tho were in the path of Hurricane Sandy.
These are graphic photos of the hurricane’s destructive force. Well worth viewing, as many people still lack power, heat, gasoline, and are now homeless.
Do what you can to help.
The best place to give to victims of the hurricane is here.

Hurricane Katrina is what started the destruction of the Louisiana schools. Be on guard that it does not increase it in the North. They just closed them down for a year and brought them back as charters. But not one teacher group (including the one I was with) got a charter—real strange, huh. We were ALL New Orleans teachers with experience and fully certified. And the charters did not want us back.

I really feel for the people up North, being a Katrina survivor. I cannot imagine having to deal with the kind of destruction we did and then have it get cold too. And SNOW! When Chris Christie embraces and praises President Obama things have to be REALLY bad, because he’s one of the more obnoxious of the Republicans.

“When Chris Christie embraces and praises President Obama” Call me cynical but I call that political opportunism.

Wow! We inlanders had trees down and lost power, but experienced nothing compared to what the coastal areas went through.
