You need to sit down before you read this. It is so hilarious it may cause you to fall down laughing.
This is a wonderful spoof about Miracle Teachers, Mracle Schools, and Amazing stories of overnight transformation that occur only when the teachers are inexperienced and the journalists don’t dig too deep.

The fact that so many people believe this counterintuitive thinking is mind-boggling and frustrating. New teachers may know all the latest strategies and jargon, but it’s the seasoned teachers who have seen the cycles of educational practices come and go, who have gleaned the best from these practices, and can more easily diagnose and remediate those kids who are having difficulties because of the large numbers of students they have taught. Sorry, folks, but experience does matter. I am a better teacher today than I was 25 years ago, albeit a little grayer and wider.

Thank you Diane for the warning to sit down first before reading EduShyster’s
‘Such a unique writing genre … a strategic mix of hilarity and facts that take you straight to the truth about the ridiculous “rephormy” initiatives educators and students continually endure.
For the “rephormers” who read his blog, they must feel “gobsmacked” with the truth.
Simply fantastic!!

Thank you Dr. Ravitch, humor is so good for the soul, even the gallows variety helps. Nothing like good satire to puncture the pompous and make a point.
