Media accounts sometimes refer to the Chiefs for Change, a group of state superintendents. They are the state leaders most closely associated with Jeb Bush’s Foundation for Educational Excellence and with Jeb Bush’s views favoring high-stakes testing and privatization.
Here is Mercedes Schneider’s analysis of the organization and its members.
Tony Bennett has been handsomely rewarded by Jeb for his efforts in Indiana, too. I wish the public would follow the money when these people tell them “it’s all about the kids.”. It’s always about the money with Jeb & his cabal.
Too true and very sad.
Everyone thought Jeb Bush was gone when he was no longer Gov. of Florida. They were wrong. He began his stealth work immediately and has been at it ever since. He was a master puppeteer and though some saw it; he was allowed to continue thanks to the $$$ of places like the Villages north of Orlando and even Okechobee..who would think that the rich would hang out there? It is sad…but I will not give up.
Kudos to Mercedes Schneider for her detailed depiction of the “chiefs” who claim to be leading education “reform.”
All of them are charlatans. And worse.
And none of them are really interested in “improving” public education.
